  1. Thank you very much Joseph, i'll check it out.
  2. I'm well aware of how to make decals at home. I do it all the time. Right now though I have a dozen or more stalled projects because of a need for a partially white or all white decal that CAN NOT be done at home.
  3. Oh my god! A whole hour!?!? I had no idea! Look- if they're being printed out on an Alps or similar printer, and the artwork is provided for them ready to go, where's the issue. If I could afford an alps i'd do it myself!
  4. Where were you before William!?? EDIT: THREE tries to post with a quote. I'm only mentioning it because of the debate in the other thread.
  5. I'll try those Harry, but the rub is i've BEEN looking up decal (or alledged) makers for days now. So far all i've run into are dead links and for sale domain names.
  6. Why is it, with the wealth of resin casters, photo etchers and all other manner of aftermarket dealers out there, why is it impossible to find a custom decal maker? I'm not talking about a decal maker who already has a large stock of items for sale. I mean where are all the folks who will accept your artwork and make decals of what you want for you? There used to be talk all over the place about Alps this and dry transfer that, but there's nothing out there now. I've seen several posts in the wanted section about a need for some custom made decals and noone ever answers those calls. Is it fear of a lawsuit? Does noone use Alps anymore? (and yes, I know Alps printers are no longer made but there are others and it's my understanding you can still get cartridges for Alps). So what gives? Why is noone offering a custom decal service?
  7. The pic I provided... is a replica car. The one thing they got wrong was the engine color. They used the factory orange. In most cases the Petty engines were Petty Blue.
  8. I often wonder why Gregg bothers to maintain the extra site. What's the big deal with allowing a section right here to sell kits? It would save him in the long run by not having to maintain the extra site that really is fairly useless. Why does Gregg care if someone trades or sells? Shouldn't that be thier business? Just put up a disclaimer that states the site is not responsible for bad deals and let the mods take care of the rest.
  9. I hope i'm putting this in the right place. For rivet details you've just gotta check these out!
  10. I actually do have a couple of the AMT Charger kits on hand. Thank you for that tip since I can now put the RR chassis back into it and build it at a later date.
  11. Shipping cost, no tracking, customs, worrying if it'll ever come...you name it.
  12. Just a quick question here, is the 1968/69 AMT Roadrunner chassis a good replacement for a 1971/72 Roadrunner? I'm getting started on a 1971 Petty build and i'm in need of a chassis. I have the AMT chassis on hand.
  13. That's right. Much more valuable MIP anyway!
  14. Cool! Glad they got there quick. So what did you think of the manifold? Do you think you can use it? I just put it in as an afterthought. The plastic one is from the old MPC stock car series.
  15. Amen to all the above my brethren! The many mopar missilles mentioned have been overlooked for far too long! Some of them have been done before but not with todays technological advances.
  16. I've heard of this but never tried it. I think the best solution is to just get new decals. Unfortunately not every decal out there has a replacement being made.
  17. Thanks alot for the tease. I checked them. I'm not buying something from Madrid Spain.
  18. Not in repair shops, but you do find them in bikini's at car shows, duh!
  19. I just wanna know where I can get that Joker figure! It's freakin awesome! So is the Liea.
  20. Nicely done!
  21. Couldn't tell you, but that setup would be great for a Herbie!
  22. Parts are on the way chief. Jacen made me switch out the wheels because I was about to send you the wrong ones! DOH!
  23. Glad it worked out Mike. Thank you for the update, information is king!
