curt raitz Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 This is a 1/20th scale model of F. Cevert's Tyrrell 002 he raced at the German Grand Prix in 1972. The model is manufactured by Ebbro and it was built by me... Here's the real car: Here's the model: Oh yah, the Ebbro kits are fantastic. Thanx for lookin' 4
stillnotpc Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Great job. Now maybe I will screw up enough courage to build mine. You are right about the EBBRO kits, they do look really good.
aurfalien Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Wow, this is my favorite Tyrrell.Very very cool man, looks awesome!
Peter Lombardo Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Looks great Curt.......I have that kit to build and I finished the 001 version. These Ebbro's can be a bit finicky, but build up very well. Very clean.
Belugawrx Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Ya More F1 on the forumVery well done Kurt!Cheers
om617 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 You did a great job, looks really good. The helmet is a nice detail.
PatW Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Great looking Tyrrell. I built the 1/12th Tamiya version when they first came out 20 yeras ago? Also it was one of the first F1 cars I saw when I started race marshalling at the Silverstone Circuit in the UK in the 1970's!
lanesteele240 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 One of the best builders on the forum. Thanks for sharing
Badluck 13 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 ........In my opinion this was one of the finest F1 cars ever made and you did such beautiful justice to this model !!
simonr Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 (edited) Well, well done, Curt..Simón P. Rivera Torres Edited July 22, 2015 by simonr
1959scudetto Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Great formula 1 racer, Curt - looks very convincing - almost like the real thing!
HotRodaSaurus Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 (edited) A great build, I wish I had found this before I bought my Tamiya version. it would have fit in with my other race car models. Yet to build it but I am going for the Jackie Stewart version, one of our greatest drivers from a very different era compared to todays F1 scenario's.Am I correct in saying the crash in which Francois Cevert was killed was a deciding factor in Stewarts retirement?J Edited July 23, 2015 by HotRodaSaurus Added content
John Teresi Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Curt.......this one turned out FANTASTIC!!!!! .......great job Buddy!!!!!

Orrie Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 I just purchased a 1/25 scale Entex Tyrrell 002 off of eBay and found that the engine hood scoop is missing. Any suggestions on how to make a new one? Thanks
