RT6PK
Going through some stuff and I found these old cans. I remember using this actual can of blue to build my first JoHan '69 Roadrunner when I was about 12, (1982ish ?). Remember when Testors only had about 15 spray colors? High octane
Yes I remember those as well as the Pactra paints, and also the AMT lacquer paints too. Here is a car painted with the AMT lacquers back in the early 70's.................................
Harry Joy
The way they are cutting back their paint lines, Testor's might be back down to fifteen again very soon. Edited December 4, 2015 by Harry Joy
Longbox55
I found an NOS can of Jade Green in that style can at a Benjamin Franklin store in Covington Indiana back in the mid '90s. Still have it, unopened.

THarrison351
I think it was short for plastic. Meaning safe for polystyrene.

I'm pretty sure I've got a whole box full of these old cans around somewhere. The paint was barely usable when it was fresh, I'll bet it's some wonderful stuff now! 1930fordpickup
I like the old cans. I have a few but no cool Roth Cans. The sideways can is for the picture as it would not fit. Some old Glue tubes also. Edited December 4, 2015 by 1930fordpickup
Jon Haigwood
I remember them well. Even remember buying some Candy Colors in them.
Harry P.
Interesting that they held 3.2 ounces. Today the cans are listed as 3 ounces. How did they decide on an odd amount like 3.2?
Ridge Rider
I like that picture Andy, thanks for sharing. It's kind of funny to see even then they had no use for an E- it's just 'namel

Bugatti Fan
I can remember using the AMT colours way back when. Funnily enough I still have some Testors Metallics after all these years in the little glass containers.
SCRWDRVR
Oh yeah I remember them, I remember have some named as "transparent" which was basically a candy type of paint that you had to use silver or something for base coat.
peteski
While not *THAT* old, here are couple that are around 35 years old.
styromaniac
If I could catch a whiff of that old AMT spray lacquer, I bet it would immediately trigger some long lost childhood memories. I remember liking them cuz being hotter they laid down better than the Testors rattlecan enamels. They had interesting colors too....I remember my bro' painting his Revell 57 Chevy "Aztec Gold"...and his Revell Roth Road Agent "Orchid Silk". Bucky
One interesting thing I've noticed is these old cans are not leaking out the bottom.

I've heard that can be an issue, I guess I'm just lucky (knock on wood) I've only ever had one leak like that.
