Then I have a '40 Ford Business Coupe & Convertible, all 3 of the Galaxie '46-'48 Chevys, the '48 Ford Convertible. Meat & Potato section of my domestic collection is Mid '50s to early '70s.In the coming months I'll add more kits at both "extremes" with '15 Evo X, '15 Huracan, and '16 Camaro kits on the new end and the '30 & '48 Fords on the prehistoric end.
martinfan5 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 2016 - Mazda MX-5 & Porsche 9182015 - 50th Anniversario Lamborghini Aventador, Nissan GT-R & BMW i8Those would be mine as well, since Ive already built the 2016 MX-5
Crazy Ed Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 'Cept for a 2006 Vette I got for Driveline stuff, it's back to '73 and Porsche 917/30's
Longbox55 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Mine is a 3 way tie, all the same model year. 2014 Toyota 86, Subaru BR-Z, and Scion FR-S.
slusher Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 2014 Revell prepainted Corvette, 2008 or 09 Challenger and 2 06 Mustang GT.
Harry Joy Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) 1978 Dodge Monaco. (Dukes of Hazzard) Just noticed that you said "built or unbuilt". The latest year overall, built or unbuilt, is the 1987 GNX. I am not much interested in anything but 60s or 70s, some late 50s. Edited April 17, 2016 by Harry Joy
maltsr Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 For an old guy (nearly 61) I have quite a few kits from the teens - 2013 & 2015 Mustang, Lambo Aventadors, BMW i8, several GT racing cars (McLarens, BMW z4, BMW DTM) although my model collection is predominantly pre 1970.
russosborne Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Newest for me is a 2005 Cadillac Escalade that was given to me. Other than that it stops at the mid 70's-some funny cars and the Firefighter Mustang II. And all the way back to the 20's. Most of mine are show car types, mainly Tom Daniels. Several drag race cars. Not many factory stock types of any era. Even those are planned for drag or custom builds. Oh, I do have a few that would be model year 2300 or so. Star Trek. highway Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 2010 Meng Ford F 350. Actually I believe it is a 2008. As for the newest model year in mine, it is the Raptor.
dshue76 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 The Meng kit represents the 2008-2010 model years.
PatW Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Mine is the Belkits 2015 version of the VW Polo WRC.
Olskoolrodder Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Newest IN my stash is the Revell Build n Play 2015 Mustang kit,but I have a Tamiya Mazda MX5 Miata on order/in-route,I think it's a 2016 (anyone on the year of that?)
Dann Tier Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Mine is the Belkits 2015 version of the VW Polo WRC. Never heard of these kits before, How are they compared to Fujimi, Tamiya, and Aoshima?
landman Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Top five in order, I think, going backwards: Audi R8, Dodge dually pickup, Lambo Diablo, GNX, Porsche 911 Turbo, then other than two or three 1970 they're all old.
disabled modeler Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I try to stay in the very late 50s through 70s body styles but have a few newer ones....77 Cadillac coupe DeVille Johan snap kit...love there snaps.
sjordan2 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 The only one I have have that's close to recent is Revell's Mercedes SLS AMG, issued in 2009 (I just had major envy this weekend when my brother showed me a picture of his new GT AMG, the 1:1). With only a few exceptions like the 1974 Jag XJ-S, various 300 SL models and the '62 Corvette, everything else is pretty much '30s classics.
PatW Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Yes Dann they appear to have more detail than Tamiya, Fujimi, Hasegawa etc!
richslocum Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 '70 Torino just acquired before that '69 Corvair.
socal76 Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Would be the Revell 2010 Camaro, Not had the money to get anything newer.
bob29579 Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Wow. Mine is a 48 woodie. Almost everything I have is 41 or older.
Eshaver Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I think it's a 2012 Corvette kit that will get built someday
