Since Mr Mopar showed a Revell Model A pickup...

Before...  a dealer friend who knows I love to restore the Monogram Model A's handed me this one in a plastic bag. An original Blue Beetle.

After - Restored,  I did use a few parts from the newer Monogram Blue Bandito release, but all the parts unique to the original are on it including the Cadillac script valve covers!

A $5 kit that some kid built, but never finished.  I did like the army green body....

A wise $4 purchase.  There was some charm in the crude chop some kid attempted.  It just had to live again!

And here they are today!

Nice scores, great saves, and I love the T.R.O.G. pic! Glad you honored that young builders chop attempt!

Thanks Paul!  I went to TROG in NJ a few years ago. That was a photo where the car was faster than my camera.. no car!  So it was a natural for a background!

Johan '68 Fury, ex 4 door cop car, now 2 door sedan pro street. I cut out the B pillar, door handle, lock and door line out as one piece, moved it back until it looked right (l had pics of a 1/1), then put the pieces I had removed from the back doors into the space on the front doors. I made a six pack scoop and put it on a spare, flat back, hood, but I prefer the sleepiness of the flat, yellow hood.

That's some kickass resto work you got goin' on there, Daryl! Drive on! B)

Thank you. Bodywork is my favorite part of the build, and MoPars are my favorite build subjects.

That one is definitely a labor of love. Quite a lot of bodywork.

Nice save!

Bully, you win Glue Bomb of the Month! And are already a strong contender for the 2022 award! Can't wait to see what you do with it. Model on! B)

@Snake45 I finally got to use some of the parts of that original glue bomb, frame, rear axle/suspension engine and a bit of the interior. While not a restore, it did get a second life.

I usually stay clear of glue bombs unless it’s something hard to find.  I did, however rescue this one a few weeks back for cheap.  I pulled the body off and it’s currently taking a bath.  My plan is to pick up one of the mpc mount n’ goat kits to steal parts that can’t be salvaged.

Seems it's always the case that build ups and glue bombs end up in my hands. These latest ones were destined for the trash. I'm not sure if I did any favors by saving these though... but I'm a sucker for old builds so I scooped them up anyway.

Who doesn't love a huge box of possibilities?

Not exactly a glue bomb, but sure wasn't mint.

A Craftsman '64 Malibu..partially shaved and covered with sanding scratches under that thick Testors blue paint.

I figured it was a good time to post this one with the Round2 reissue/recreation on the way.

Bonus that the original builder didn't paint anything except the top.
