Codi Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 I love everything you make Randy. This is no exception. cheers, tim
Randy D Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 Hi Folks, Thank you Kevin, my apologies for not replying sooner. They hose clamps are pe by Detail Master with the screw part from a short piece of nickel silver tubing and a RBMotion socket head screw stuck in it. Thanks Tim!! Appreciate JC! Calling the engine compartment done with the final additional wiring..
Bennyg Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Very nice. You'd be able to do a tutorial series on wiring these models up. Not far to go now.Ben
aurfalien Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 (edited) OMG sik!!!!Baffles the mind to an order of magnitude. Edited April 18, 2017 by aurfalien
Randy D Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Hi Folks, Ben, Appreciate it as always Sir ! Hi Brian, Thank you Thank you Dan !! The last project on this one is to give the cockpit a race car flavor. Looked at a lot of different LeMans cars and used this reference pic for the main inspiration for my efforts. I really liked the hi tech water bottle/thermos thingy that is hooked up to the driver's helmet....
Randy D Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Still a couple of small things to finish but getting close !Thanks for looking in.Randy
DrKerry Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Randy, love the amount of detail you're putting into this bad boy of power!!!!! However the tire seams catch the eye!! I know they'll be under wraps when built and won't be seen much...Beautiful build however!!!!!! Love the Ferrari's myself!!!!
Twokidsnosleep Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I have a hard time discerning your reference pictures from the wip scale pics...could you be a bit more sloppy
FabbricaP Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 This is the most insane build I've seen on this forum.. can't wait to see the finished model. Be sure to post alot of pics of the completed build for us!
Belugawrx Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Incredible scratching as always Randy, Where do you find those under 30 gauge wires? I have been searching every where....Cheers
Bennyg Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 It's great that you've made it different from the other fxx-k builds out there.Ben
jaymcminn Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 This is some next-level OCD stuff. I'm getting a headache just looking at that engine bay. Awesome work!
Mooneyzs Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Holy Smokes Randy... This thing is insane!! It was sure great to see it at DSC but I seriously missed you at GSL. So glad to see you back at the bench working this. Keep up the great work. Killer detailing work going on here.
martinfan5 Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I got to pleasure to see this in person earlier in April , and you think the photo's are impressive, you will be blown away seeing it in person, I was in awe, and getting the pleasure to meet Randy. I really enjoyed getting to talk with him for a short bit.
Funkychiken Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Amazing work! I would normally use this Forum to replicate some of the excellent work, but your stuff is way out of my league...!
Davewilly Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Amazing! and small! loaded with lots of stuff to look at thats for sure!
Codi Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 What exquisite detail Randy. The proper scale and attention to the smallest component sets an all new level for detail. I am completely overwhelmed with your efforts to replicate the different scale, texture and materials to bring the interior to life. Great to have the doors swing up that way so everyone can really appreciate the efforts you put into it. Thanks for the post. Cheers, Tim
