Chuck Most Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 This, as you probably already guessed, is the new Revell kit. I modified the frame and suspension, reworked an AMT '29 Model A grille shell, made a tall piston shifter, added some military jeep seats, and powered it with a Ford 300 straight six fitted with a junkyard turbo setup. I left it in my rust-colored base coat, after just being smitten with how it looked on a '48 Ford truck I recently finished, and was working on alongside this.
Harry P. Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Another winner, Chuck! You sure keep on banging them out! But all I see are holes in the doors where the handles should be...
wayne swayze Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Really like the crusty exhaust pipe and the mesh in the quarter windows!
MemyselfandI Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Great work!!! Very realistic weathering job.
Sixties Sam Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Great looking Model A! I like the turbo six! Very well done!Sam
modelfink Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Very nice. Which brand of rust colored primer is that? The finish on the exhaust is great.
randyc Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 nice build. Wnet to your site - your rusty flaky paint jobs are most excellent.
tim boyd Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Nicely done Chuck.....I particularly like that turbo'd six banger.....TIM
JTalmage Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 But all I see are holes in the doors where the handles should be... Just use a screwdriver, or reach inside ;-)
stavanzer Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Wow, Chuck. Most outstanding Build. As others have mentioned, the paint and finish are superb. The Turbo is very neatly installed. Great Work on a new kit, and a huge inspiration.
Curt Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Beautiful work, Chuck. I have to agree that the crusty exhaust pipe is amazingly realistic. I love all the choices you made with this one!
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I like it.. Slant six looks good there..
DumpyDan Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Nice work, that rust almost looks thick on the pipes
