peteski Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) Wow! They got a license to produce genuine Coca-Cola decals. Nowadays more and more companies don't bother with the licensing - they just issue generic decals. What is cool to see is that with these retro-kits and retro-packaging the model companies are obviously going after the old-coots who are still building models. But they will also cost more than the original $2! Edited November 28, 2016 by peteski
Daddyfink Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Finally! I built the last issue with the Generic "Soda Pop" decals and I really wanted the Coke decals. Now I can have them!!
Mr mopar Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) Thanks Casey ! and now it comes with an all chrome rear end and orange tinted glass just like the real one ,this is super good new. must get one or two . Edited November 28, 2016 by Mr mopar
Modelbuilder Mark Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Looks like another show rod to be had for my stash!
Dragline Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Looks like yards of chrome to strip and Alclad. I'm in for one.
kobuzz Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Man! That intake and carb set-up. Anyone have pics of the kit parts??

unclescott58 Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Alright! Other cool kit coming out in time for my next birthday. I just hope somebody like Firebird Designs makes some Mountain Dew decals for this kit. Coca-Cola is my second favorite beverage after Mountain Dew. So if I have to, I'll build it as shown on the box.R. Scott Aho
mr68gts Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Alright! One I've been wanting to do for a long time now and I will finally get my chance! Will definitely have to add it to the show rod collection. Now, to actually build them....or something....
crazyjim Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I get to save some money because this kit does nothing for me.
gtx6970 Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I hate to say it, but I could see a few of these old show rods built and in my case.I doubt it'll happen .but one never knows. either way I hope Round 2 sells a boat load of them . It helps finance stuff I will buy
iBorg Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I remember going to the Sportsnsationals in Bowling Green in the mid 70's and almost lost it when I saw this car driving down a side road. I don't know if it was going to a trailer or what but totally freaked out. Couldn't convince my Dad to turn around and give it chase.
Mr mopar Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 (edited) more cool pic! and different side pipes ? Edited November 29, 2016 by Mr mopar

unclescott58 Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 I never knew a real version of this car existed before this. I thought it was cool as model. And I think it's just as cool as real car.R.Scott Aho

Looks like the side "doors" are a darker color, too.I'm curious to see which "Pad printed rear tires" Round2 is going to include, as the original (then) lo-pro "Indy" style tires are very consistent with what was considered cutting edge back then.

Would really like to see Round 2 work their pad-printing magic on a set of big 'n little "Indy" tires.
my80malibu Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 (edited) If there were 7 up decals offered. We could build an. Up Yours version of this kit. Edited November 30, 2016 by my80malibu
ChrisBcritter Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 The kit isn't my cup of... soda, but those drum headlights and possibly the suicide front axle mount would be great for my T speedster project. Have to watch for one being parted out.

Mr mopar Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Just wish Round2 would have done them in white not yellow!
