Ack! Ack-ack! Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 I built ths one probably 15 years ago. Like all Ertl truck and trailer kits I know building was a pleasure. Everyting is box-stock, only the rear fenders appeared way too long to my eyes. Currently the kit seems to be OOP. My kit still had 11 standard tires. Later re-issues had two very wide front tires.
plastic trucker Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Looks better with the shortened rear fenders.
redneckrigger Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Very nicely done, and yup, the stock fenders are too long. Your rendition looks MUCH better!
1959scudetto Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Much better with the shortened rear fenders - otherwise the mixer would have needed a third axle in the back.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Excellent Work!! Very nice and clean build! The fender modifications were an excellent improvement!!
10thumbs Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Super clean build Thomas.Guys....what is the extremely extended front bumper for? Geez, I rented an apartment that had a smaller balcony.
Rick315-8 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Fantastic job on your Paystar !..well done !.....love the color combo..

kilrathy10 Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 You did good, Man....That looks really good....The fenders have always been crazy long, so I'm in agreement....Excellent modification of them......
Chariots of Fire Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 That's a nice rig. I agree; you did right by the rear fenders. Makes it look like it should look. Great colors too.
gatorincebu Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Really a nice looking model. Nice color combination. Be Well Gator

Geez, I rented an apartment that had a smaller balcony. Since I saw no reply to your question I'll chime in. The reason for the large bumper is because this truck has a PTO that is driven from the front of the engine crankshaft. This PTO mounts in front of the radiator, between the frame rails.

Hermann Kersten Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Very nice build, and i love the colours. Great job! Hermann.
