Ben Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 This is something I read here on this forum. Just wanted to let more people know.
Jim B Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 I'll probably pick one of these up. I wonder if AMT will Coca-Cola this one, too.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I'll be getting one of these. I always liked this truck. I've only had one and sold it before I ever built it. I thought that I had quit building. I wasn't building when it was re-released, so I missed it then. Looking forward to this one.
Truck parts Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I will be looking forward to the kit coming back out
stavanzer Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I hope that they add some optional bare plastic wheels to it. The Autocar's just don't look right with chromed front wheels. Either way this will be a 'Must Have' kit for me.
Force Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Well if you don't want chrome plating it's very easy to remove, it's a lot harder (and more expensive) to do it the other way. I'm also going to get at least get one or two of these when they come out.
Pete68 Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 I don't know I think my REAL 1.1 Autocar A64B looks good with chrome wheels

tim boyd Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Wow!!! That is one sharp 1/1 scale Autocar! TIM
Luc Janssens Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Now Round-2 only needs to release the Challenge mixer (without the trademark name, like the Caterpillar 'dozer) and combined with this, will make a stellar combo.
stavanzer Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Lee, That is one sharp rig! Yes, the chrome wheels look great on your truck. However, the photo that Luc posted shows the type of truck I had in mind, when I made my comments. I'll wind up having to build two Autocar kits at this rate. I wonder when the Paystar Mixer and the Autocar Dump are scheduled for another run. I have a sealed copy of both kits, but would really like to build them with fresh plastic.
Pete68 Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 (edited) Alexis you or someone will have to build my truck I have no interest in building it the way it is now. I'm the second owner of this truck. I plan on building it when it was bought new. The owner took the spokes off and re-painted it there company colors which it is now. Don't get me wrong I like the colors and paint scheme. If any you guys want to build my truck I will give you colors numbers . The truck is so much like the model it's hard to believe. Glad you guys enjoyed the pics Lee Edited December 26, 2017 by Pete68

Or just get a mixer from AITM with an old ACar hood and get this:

JerseeJerry55 Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 I love the A-64B. One of my favorites from the 1970's.
leafsprings Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Is anyone working on a front end conversion for the west coast builders?.
stavanzer Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Looks like AITM will get an order for resin wheels, the day after my Autocar kit arrives.
vincen47 Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 (edited) Hmmm. Wonder if anyone has ever done a “Over The Top” truck with one of these? It would take some modification, but this could be the start of a cool project. Edited March 16, 2018 by vincen47

(Opening sequence of the movie is parts of the Red Mountain Pass road just south of Ouray Colorado, a road I drive on each summer for my vacation stay in that area).
Danno Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Thanks, Russell! I enjoyed that. I don't recall the movie, but I certainly know Ouray, Red Mountain Pass, and the entire SW quadrant of Colorado. Also a frequent flyer.
Pete68 Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Can't wait for this truck to get out my 33-year-old Autocar needs a companion
