Tukkerdax Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 (edited) Hello, Today I finished my El Camino SS '68. I'm intending to make a small diorama for it. Hope you like it. Grtz Eric Edited January 14, 2018 by Tukkerdax
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 very realistic weathering, well done. -RRR
Snake45 Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 I'm not a fan of the weathered/beater look but I gotta admit, that's one of the very best renditions of it I've ever seen. Looks like you have the techniques down perfect!

Watertown Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 The weathered vinyl top separating and lifting at the seam is a nice touch and deftly handled. Nice job.
Greg Rogers Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 That is really cool. I want to duplicate the patina look also. How did you do that?
D. Battista Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 that thing Sure has seen it's better day....! Nice job..!
FabbricaP Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Wow the weathering is excellent! Love the cracked dash too
misterNNL Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Darn it...everyone else whom read this before I got to it already pointed out the obvious but subtle stuff I love about this one ! Thanks for taking the time to share the excellent photographs with us.
Mooneyzs Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 As a huge El Camino Fan and considering I have a 1971 1:1. I love this build. You did an amazing job with weathering it. I think it turned out Killer. There are so many little touches that just stand out. Again Nice job on this build.
Janne Herajärvi Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Very nice weathering.. I dont have any talent to do weathering, so i finish my models shiny
89AKurt Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 IMHO the only way to build most AMT kits is this way. You did really well, other than the headlights need to be straight, but that's it!
majel Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Oh that poor El Camino! It is in need of some TLC! Great job on the weathering, looks very authentic.
TooOld Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 I love El Caminos (I've owned 6 of them) but not so much of the rusted out look everyone seems to be building these days . However I do admire the extra details and finished result you've achieved , great job !
