Pat Minarick Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I've been working on this for a long time. Going to try and finish this up this year! Redid the nose ,just couldn't get it the way I wanted so cut it all out and started over!
LDO Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 That is looking pretty darn cool. The nose looks like it could have been a design sketch for the '63-'65 Riviera.
StevenGuthmiller Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Looks a hell of a lot better than the "Monkey Mobile" ever did! Looked like it was designed by a 6 year old to me. Rock on! Steve
1930fordpickup Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Just when you think an old project was lost to time and photobucket it reappears. I am glad you are back at it.
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I like it! Keep working it!!! -RRR
espo Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Glad to see you're back after this build. The front end is a vast improvement but the Long Roof is what I'm really interested in. Is that all scratch built or did you use a roof section from another model ? I have a built up that I got as a door prize a couple of years ago and have always wanted to do something with it, just couldn't figure out what that would be though. Thank you for the idea of making it a Wagon of some kind.
Pat Minarick Posted February 27, 2018 Author Posted February 27, 2018 Thank you, everyone. This has been an on and off build for years, really need to finish it.

geemoney Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 love it! stance is everything! I have wanted to do this for a while, probably like a 2 dr wagon with sedan doors, no 1/4 window etc. keep going!!
Howard Cohen Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 That is very good! I have thought about doing a wagon version but I could not find a roof I liked. I did build one as a pick, title Dean Jeffries Shop Truck'. Side bar, 'The Monkees' is currently running on a local television station and at the end, it says 'Monkeemobile supplied by Dean Jeffries'
TooOld Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Looks like you got the nose figured out , angling the grille openings in the center is very much like a Firebird and makes it instantly recognizable as a Pontiac . Also the headlight placement really finishes it off . I don't recall seeing the rear of the roof and window opening before but I'd say you've nailed that too , I always have trouble with that on wagon conversions . Looking forward to seeing this one Under Glass !

Thanks, was having a real problem figuring out the head lights and keeping the Pontiac look.Going to stick a blower on top of the engine and cut lines in for a tilt front end but none working.

Geno Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 That's starting off sweet Pat, my first thought when I saw the front was a customized '64 Imperial. It looks great.

HDDan Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 I think your headlights look better than the original.
