bill lanfear Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Hello everyone, here is my fifth build for my “a day in 1979” series of models for a future diorama. It represents my uncle’s car as I remember it back in the 70’s. It was his daily driver and his only car for many years. I weathered it slightly to show some day to day use. I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think. Thanks for looking! 2
shoopdog Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Very, very nice, with all your attention to detail it could pass for the 1:1.
'70 Grande Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Really, really like this build! The weathering work is outstanding, and the paint-detailing on the interior is outstanding as well! I agree; it looks like a 1:1; nicely done!
Snake45 Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Very, VERY nice, and looks like it's ready for a trip to the carwash! Well done and model on!
donb Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Nicely detailed and nicely photographed. Could pass for a real car.
bbowser Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Outstanding model! The engine bay is very convincing.

bill lanfear Posted May 21, 2018 Author Posted May 21, 2018 Thank you to everyone for the positive comments!
espo Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 Great build. As others have pointed out the attention to the chassis and engine detailing is very convincing. I like the "Road Splash" on the lower body.
Jim N Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 Very nice! My dad had a 65 Impala and it remains one of my absolute favorite cars.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 (edited) Holy smokes, that thing looks real. Great job! Edited May 25, 2018 by Dragonhawk1066
OldTrucker Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 It DOES look real! Just the right touch to make it look like a well cared for daily driver! Great build of a cool car!
Slotto Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Great pictures! Very believable. Love the interior detail.
