Gota love the Model King stuff, lots of pics, even on the inside flaps on some kits. Plus their boxes, are thicker than most other kits.

Well...

Tom Daniel's stuff always impressed me and inspired me to do my best work.

Such as this one:

AMT's early 70's box art is among the best in the business, and sadly their last good art for some time. That Merc box art brings back my memory of my uncle buying me that kit at a 7-11! Luckily I have one in my stash.

But my fave from that era is this one with the mechanic trying to improve an already awesome car!

I remember getting that one loooong ago...ahh memories

Not often seen or very well-known, I've always liked the original AMT Mini-Trophy boxes.

Replicating a couple of these renderings in 1/25 scale is on my to-do list, although it might never happen.

I have never seen this kit before…

That's because it doesn't exist.

AMT also did most of these in 1/43 scale, or at least very similar. I have a few of them lying around here, in parts.

I have this kit... It was cheaper to buy the 2n1 kit with the cobra Jet parts in it which I also have... You had to pay more for the Steve McQueen box art.....??

Don't recall ever seeing this box art before.

66 Ford Mustang Hardtop, Union Model MC-32 (1984)

Oh yeah! The Union Model kits! Or more accurately, the Union Models Re Issued kits!

Quite a few U.S. molds found their way into their collection. And featured pics of some very nicely done builds!

I have one of those in my collection.
I was really surprised to find this kit in the Union packaging.

Beautiful artwork Mark, and welcome to the forum!

Now how about showing us some of those original JoHan kit illustrations you once posted on Slotblog?

Is the big, flying spaceship Datsun chasing the little earth cars to run them over?

I love how there's no driver in it, and it's supposed to be jumping...

over what, I have no idea.

Although I would like to see what's inside the box. Were 4 door 510s used a lot in racing?

Who's that? Revell/Monogram?

I've never seen that kit box before. Does look nice.

Revell Germany.  1/24 scale.  I'm building it now.  Nice kit.
