DeeCee Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 (edited) A little something different, i started with a 59 Impala convertible, and the bubble top from the T-bird kit. A lot of blending, fabricating and filling...... TA-DAAHHH, something nobody else has.. Paint is Dupli-color Metalcast Purple, with some pearl powder in the clear cote. Decals are from the Impala kit. Edited September 11, 2018 by DeeCee 1
fordf-100 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Looks awesome! I really like the way you worked the top into the trunk area!
mustang1989 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Man this is just crazy cool Dale! Truly knocked this one out of the park in terms of imagination aaaaaaaaaaaaand building skills.
Rider Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Wow, super looking build, beautiful colour and finish.
espo Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 I like the Bubble Top conversion. Great looking paint and interior. In the real world you would have to have the Air Conditioner on Stun or the interior would be unbearable.
rickcaps55 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Awesome I love it every thing the color the custom work it looks like it came right our of the pages of a 60's Rod&Custom Magazine.!!!
89AKurt Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 You did a great job! I LOVE the paint job. I wouldn't want to drive that in Phoenix in July though.
Bucky Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Wicked kool kustom!! Excellent blending of parts from two entirely different kits!
donb Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Nailed it perfectly. I like everything about this custom. Well done
Koellefornia Kid Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 The Impala looks a lot better with the Bubble top than the T-Bird! Well done, love the color!
DeeCee Posted September 13, 2018 Author Posted September 13, 2018 Thanks very much guys, i really like the way it all blended too, i like different, as most of you already know..
alan barton Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 That works for me Dale! The amazing thing is, a 59 Chevy is so outrageous to start with that you can add bubble tops and not change anything else and it works just fine! And, it would keep you nice and warm in Tasmania! Cheers Alan
