Short of a few details it's done. Built as a curbside. Had to get it finished for the Toledo show this weekend. It's been a crazy year, I've only been able to get 2 completed so far. This and the '67 Firebird. I wanted this to be a what if, sort of a prototype by Mercury to test the market back in the day.

Different and therefore interesting! B) It's gonna take me a little while to get used to the look, but there's no denying your usual impeccable craftsmanship. Well done, and let's hope you soon find more time to Model On! B)

Very cool! I always like to see "what ifs"! Makes you wonder if they ever talked about or sketched something up back then. Excellent build also!

Oh... I had plans for something like that, too. Always thought a fastback-Cougar might look cool. Obviously you were faster than me. But it´s good to know that I was right, it looks great! Very nice work!

Very nice build. Interesting concept car. Something I doubt I'd have thought about.

As Snake said, it will take me a while to get used to the look.

If you would, I'd like to see a straight side-view pic if possible. Either side.

Very nice result, Gene! The blue color suits this build very well.

I'm currently working on a similar project, using a '67 Cougar,

with a '68 Shelby fastback top.

Thanks again guys, hope to see you at the show Rob. I'll work on getting more pics of it. My digital camera is dead so I'll do what I can with my phone. Keith, do you have any pics of your build? I'd love to see them.:)

Cool!! Love the color, and the fastback roof is great, that's the only thing I didn't really like about the cougars was the notch back roof line. They shoulda built it!

My build is still in progress. Here are a few shots of what I have, so far:

I still have some work to do on the body, then it's on to the interior.

Keith, that is going to be way cool. I'll be glad to see the finished project. Hope this one is a motivator lol. Blessings, Geno.;):D

For Jim, here's the side view with a couple extra shots done outdoors.
