I want the Baja Bandito. Hobby Lobby has very few Revell kits on the shelf anymore...

1976 Chevy Sport pickup? I'll be very interested to see that, and what Revell may have done to it. How close to a stock Chevy truck can be built from this kits?

Some reissues from Revell... not sure why Revell future releases are in a Round 2 thread.

4X4 say right on the box !

Yeah, the Monogram '70s Chevy pickup has always been 4WD... hasn't been out since the early 90s. .

Funnier is that my phone auto correct changed 'reissues' to 'rebates'...just noticed that.

And they call them "smart" phones.  Yet another reason I don't have one, don't want one, and don't want anything to do with any product marketed as "smart." I like to own good old fashioned stupid stuff that just does exactly what I tell it to do.

After over a decade with them, I can't image life without one.  So convenient to have a computer in my pocket.

Same here.  And I resisted for a long time.  Being a contrarian, I was the guy who refused to buy an iPod.  I bought the Creative Zen version, which was a constant source of aggravation and had to be returned for repairs twice.

When it came time to get a smart phone, I decided not to fight City Hall anymore and got an iPhone.   When I'm stuck in line someplace, I love being able to read this group and other stuff on the internet, check e-mail, get the weather report etc.  As for that annoying AutoCorrect, I just turned it off.

Eggzactly! And I was going to kit bash one. That and the Baja Bandito are definitely coming home with me.

Looks like some great offerings. The Chevy pick-up is something I will enjoy. As a side note on that kit. Looking at the photo of the box the white stripes look just like a Chevrolet option at that time called the "Sport Truck". This was a Scottsdale level trim with the addition of the white stripes. The option was limited to just a few colors and one of them being a bright Orange color that could only be had with this option. The original was offered on both 2wd and 4wd chassis. I shouldn't be hard to convert one of these to a 2wd. Now you will not have to rob the Gasser parts from a wagon model to build a more realistic two door '57 Ford Gasser.

I'm with you Snake. My flip phone works just fine for me, and for $25 bucks a month, I don't care who laughs at me.

I'm with you guys as well.  Pure simplicity, $29 a month; that's it.  A former work colleague told me "Tim, that's not a smart phone, it's a dumb phone".   I kinda like that.  And I take it as a badge of honor, so to speak!   TIM

Oh, I resisted for as long as I could, and bitterly.  If you can't get me at the office, that usually means I'm either asleep, or I just don't wanna be reached 'cause I'm with the only person or people I care to hear from at the moment.

Thing is, as virulently opposed as I am to the concept of instant gratification for anyone who wants to pester me...

I also have a weakness for gadgets.  And these smart phones are the most killer gadgets ever.

13 years ago on signing with my agency, they told me, no cellie, no bookie-bookie. So I very reluctantly got on with the most basic pay-as-you-go burner, then a Blackberry at an ex-gf's urging, then a Samsung Note II THEN a Samsung Note V, incentivized JUST before the one the FAA wouldn't allow on planes.

I'm in gadget heaven, just loving all the scat I can do with it.

For actual phone calls, it's just as irritating as I would ever have guessed: 97% of the important calls come in that 2% window of time I'm away from the phone.
