yellowsportwagon Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Or close enough to done. Gotta paint the fuel cap and add a couple small things yet. 1
Dave Van Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 LOVE to see different cars built rather than the same old thing.......nice work!
Daddyfink Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Very cool build! And yes, it is nice to see something off the beaten path!
yellowsportwagon Posted February 8, 2019 Author Posted February 8, 2019 Obscure cars are my favorites. More coming too!
swede70 Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Beautiful - looks great. Thanks for sharing... Mike K./Swede70
MarkJ Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Wow, Tim. What a beautiful build. Everything about it is topnotch. Like the others have said, I love obscure cars. You nailed this one.
jjsipes Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Wow that looks great. Never seen that one before. Thanks for sharing
TooOld Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Great job Tim , it looks very good ! J.D. was one of the great unsung independents .
Belugawrx Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 I like that Tim ! On 2/9/2019 at 8:07 AM, bbowser said: Very cool! Where did you source the decals? and I 'll second that

MarkJ Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 I was flipping through one of my old umi books that covered the 1978 season, and when I got to the Delaware 500, there was a picture showing J.D. on the pole for that race.. He beat out Bobby Allison who was on the outside pole. Apparently he had used McCreary tires instead of goodyears and that was the key to winning that pole. Still, that was a huge accomplishment for him at that time.

OldTrucker Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Talk about building the obscure! That is a beauty Tim!!!
