I have one in a case under my monitor. It is very nice for the price (even new) and is a must for fans of old CHP cars or Broderick Crawford. I keep meaning to "Fu" it with some BMF, black paint on the wheel rims, and a whip antenna, but haven't gone there yet.

Check this one out, Gary - while the Porsche 911 shown above is an early example, here is the  911 SC from 1980, the very last Porsche to win a WRC event (former Alpine ace Jean-Luc Thérier at the Tour de Corse in fall of 1980) - a lot of evolution within those 10 years !

Model is also from Hachette in 1/24 (the lime green 1976 Porsche turbo is made by Welly):

I must admit it is hard for me to pass up Porsche 911s, old or new.  This is a 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S by Miniauto and I am a bit disappointed.  It is too big, the side sculpting is a bit soft, and I can find no pictures with this color scheme.  The black portions are cast with a carbon fiber appearance and Porsche does not show gold wheels in any of their web shots.  On a more positive note, the front wheels are poseable, and the price was certainly reasonable.

Actual factory color from 964 era., Mint Green. Stripe from 997.2 GT3RS. Wheels can be matte gold, aurum iirc. Black out between spokes and dump the rally stance, it’ll be great.

Thank you Keyser for your input and suggestions, very thoughtful.  I may try your wheel  paint suggestion as a start.  Each wheel is sprung which accounts for the high stance so I could remove the springs or somehow tie them down.

Keyser is right, Gary - a lowered stance would look much better for a Porsche.

This morning I went ahead and removed the springs holding the 911 up in the air.  I also discovered the releases for the front and rear lids.

When will I ever learn?  I went looking for a 1968 Corvette in 1/24 scale and came across this one.

I found this JADA 1979 ZL1 which looked pretty interesting.  It arrived yesterday and it is huge, relatively speaking compared to the Otaki, Sunnyside, and Franklin Mint.

Using Google Translator I Iooked up JADA and in Chinese JADA means not to scale.

OBTW, the bumpers off the Sunnyside are going on the Otaki which did not come with bumpers.
