Recent pick ups

1/18 Welly BMW Z8.....split front tire and a missing headlight cover.  I have a black one in the scrap pile and pilfered those pieces.  Never saw a yellow one before

1/18 Studebaker pick up......missing the driver's side mirror.  Had to re-glue both door handle back on

I agree with Carl 100%.  I have a couple of 1/24th Studebakers and really like them.

2 iconic BMW's arrived yesterday from Germany: Welly's  507 Roadster/softtop (1956) and  M1 (1978): proportions look good to me - a little detail painting ("Snake Fu") is absolutely necessary, but the basics are there:

the M1 has wobbly wheels (see pic above: front with negative camber, rear with positive camber) - might glue these on.

Those BMWs are indeed good looking.  I checked my Welly M1 and it too has wobbly wheels.  Pretty unusual for Wellys.

Local toy show day. Absolutely nothing I needed at the show, so made the short run to Rite Aid, the last one in my area that hasn't gone Walgreens. 

The familiar Welly/Beanies display wasn't near the front as usual, so I asked. They still have the cars back on the shelves in the toy section. Price is now $12.99 (30% increase! ) but were running Buy One Get One 50% Off deal so I looked. 

Had a silver '67-'68 Firebird, but I already have a blue one I liked better. Ended up with an Aston-Martin Vanquish* and a Mercedes SLS AMG. I might already have one of the latter, but this one isn't missing the left side mirror, so if it turns out to be a duplicate, I'll put the other one in the grandkids' toy box for them to play with when they come. Two new diecasts for just under $21, that's not horrible. 

*Almost didn't buy it because I thought I might already have one, but checking the list when I got home, the one I have is a DB9, so glad I got it.

It will, it's about 22" in length including the wheelie bars. Need to find a case for it.

1/18 Chrysler Airflow.  The front bumper came off in shipping.....easily fixed
