MarkJ Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Wow , Tim. That is absolutely stunning. The details , paint, decal work and cleanliness of build are up to your usual high standards.
JustJake Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Tim you are one very competent and expedient builder of outstanding models and that they are often rare and unique subjects is a nice bonus. Good job with this one also.
TarheelRick Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Another name from the golden era of the true NASCAR. Very nice build, exceptionally clean and well-detailed.
wisco8 Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 One of the coolest looking Chevelles I have seen in a very long time! That is really awesome Tim !!!
bbowser Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Great looking build! You have a knack for these obscure cars from the '60s.
Straightliner59 Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Love the vintage NASCAR stuff! Looks great! Very nice job with the Zolatone.
Old Coyote Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Beautiful build sir. I had never heard of that car until seeing your build.
james460 Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 I see you used the stock chassis. how did you get the wheels tucked up under the fenders? Really nice by the way.

Really nice by the way. Interesting you ask that. I spent an entire evening bulging the fenders and qtrs out on this thing. Yet you can barely see it in pictures. I heated and rolled a knife handle behind them to do it. Then I used the frt of the PPP wheels and the kit wheel backs. I sanded the wheel backs thinner so they would sit further in the tires. Here’s the real car showing how the wtrs and fenders bulge out slightly.
james460 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Thanks for the reply. I did the same thing to the rear fenders. Sanded them real thin and used heat and pressure to bulge out the rear. will try the same method on the front. Thanks.
yellowsportwagon Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 Ol days decals. He has a Facebook site. Nice decals
