I bought this kit at a good price as a sealed kit, but it had been resealed. I knew the box looked odd in that it was bulging. To make  long story short, the parts had been just crammed in the box and everything was VERY warped. The floor, the sides, the doors, and the top were all warped badly. I've never seen anything like it. Here's the finished product. It turned out okay.

Looks good, I'd like to know how you straightened the trailer parts, I have one from 30 years ago and the panels were warped when new.  BTW, you need to look after that White, looks like she's runnin' a bit rich!

Turned out OK? I think it turned out great! I too would like to know how you straightened the warped trailer parts.

Thanks guys!!

Let me say first of all that there is still some warpage. I've never had a lot of luck with hot water, but have had decent success with heat. However this one was terrible. I decided the best thing to do was to make this one curbside. I took and glued bracing on the inside and clamped it until it was dry. I used styrene rectangle stock for the bracing. It took several sections to be strong enough to hold it. Once the body started coming together I glued a section at a time to get it as square as possible. I glued the doors shut too after straightening them the best I could by hand, the body sides held the rest. It is by far not perfect.

Warren I think he let the air filter go too long. :D

Thanks again everyone!!

Where did you get the White? Don't recall seeing one of those before! NICE!

Thanks Tom! I got the cab from Spaulding Trading and Shipping. I think it was made by Jaymar. The cab is fiberglass. I added the aerodyne roof. Back Yard Shed made the same cab but in resin. I don't know where it originated.

Good looking old trailer. Judging by the smoked up side, looks like it was pulled by an old 318 at one time. I like the old white too!

Thanks! It's a 318 that had a turbo added later in life. Maybe it just hasn't had a good bath since then.:D

One of the best examples of this trailer I’ve seen.

Thanks for the kind words! It definitely started out rough.
