Claude Thibodeau Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Hi! Since a friend of my Dad had one, it made a strong impression on me: the 68 300C Chrysler IS the best variation of this body/platform. This one has: Johan body, forward swiveling hood, 57 Chrysler floor pan, scratchbuilt frame, Dodge Concept truck much lowered IFS & IRS, fully detailed Viper powertrain, Cadillac SUV seats (modified), scratchbuilt door panels & console, parts box rolling stock, nail polish finish with ghost flames & Testor's Wet look clear. Hours of fun with styrene! CT

espo Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 The paint work is outstanding and the first thing that gets your eye. The Chassis and Interior work is well done and very workable in 1:1.
thatz4u Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Nice work, love the color....here's my 56 300-V, built a few years back....

Koellefornia Kid Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 (edited) Great build Claude! Love the paint job and the under-hood details! Edited July 20, 2019 by Koellefornia Kid
Cpt Tuttle Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Lots of thinking and work behind this one, and it pays off. Nice!

BeakDoc Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Breathtaking work of art! There aren’t enough superlatives.......
zakdoggi Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Fantastic job Claude. You really do put together some stunning models.

When you start with timeless designs, it is easier to get interesting results. The 68 300 is such a gem. Only problem is the amount of panel edges, that make polishing difficult: easy to rub trough down to the primer. It needs a gentle touch, even more so on the side "coves" running along the flanks. CT
Peter Lombardo Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Great looking build, love the color and the faint flames..... nice. The hood hinges look like they could hole the weight of the entire car, but pretty cool. My friends dad had one of these (4 door version) and having driven it many times, a Viper engine certainly would be welcome to get that land barge moving quickly. Very nice.
