Fairfax Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Hello everyone I guess one of the worst kit I've ever built. I couldn't put the wheels together, so I used the wheels from 34 'Cadillac Fleetwod by Italeri. Here I used Alclad for chromes for the first time, but it wipes easily at the touch. 1
peekay Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Great looking model. The wheels and modified stance make it one of the most pleasing builds I've seen of this (disappointing) kit.

rickcaps55 Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 That really came out awesome I love the color and it looks very 50's with the dog dish caps and wide whits very nice.
David G. Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I hear that that one is a difficult kit to build well. You did a spectacular job on it! David G.
crazyjim Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 All Caddys should be black and SHINY ???. Your build is awesome.
Classicgas Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Very well done. Black is hard and you got it. Not sure why you had troubles with the Alclad. Unless it wasn't completely dry. I thought that it was a fairly hardy paint. Maybe next time try Bare Metal Foil.
Koellefornia Kid Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Beautiful! I really like the look of the ´34 wheels and tires, they add a nice mild custom touch
carrucha Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 (edited) It turned out well. Good work. Edited September 8, 2019 by carrucha
Fairfax Posted September 8, 2019 Author Posted September 8, 2019 Thank you very much to everyone for the very nice and encouraging comments. I realize that the chrome arc behind the front wheel is nonsense, well a year ago I jumped in headfirst. : -) For Lee Rile: That it's easy to wipe the chromium off the paint here is probably just my fault, I probably didn't grease the body off the polishing paste, and then Alclad didn't hold. Admittedly, since then I have always preferred to coat Chrom Alclad II with varnish, but after that it has lost its shine. So the next models I put in the next few days won't have chromes that bright anymore. But lately, I've come to realize that when I wrap up Alclad II with a two-part 2K ZERO varnish, it hardly loses its shine. Thank you for your support and your tip for the new chrome. : -)
Dragonhawk1066 Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Excellent job! The wheels and tires look very good on that car.
lghtngyello03 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Amazing build! Black is a hard color to do and make it perfect, but looks like you nailed it. The chrome work looks great too for your first time using Alclad!
spencer1984 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Excellent job on a tough kit, this came out great!
BeakDoc Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Stunning! You, sir, can lay down some beautiful black paint!
Fairfax Posted September 18, 2019 Author Posted September 18, 2019 Thank you again to everyone for very nice sentences. :-)
