Fairfax Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Hello, everyone. This AMT Impala is a bit of a worse quality, but it's a very popular kit for me and above all the car itself. I was inspired loosely by the video "GASSERS Smoke up! - Ford vs Chevy ". I used a differential with a rear axle on the chassis, as well as a front axle with a steering draw from 34 `Caddilac Fleetwood. : -) Rest of what the house gave. Finished rear stabilisers. Decals from AMT. Photos in the shade.
alan barton Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Incredible weathering techniques and the photography is to die for! The extra detail you have created all over this car has let you produce beautiful closeup photos without destroying the illusion of reality. Congratulations on a beautiful model! Cheers Alan
Snake45 Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 I'm not a fan of '58 Chevies, but I gotta say, this is about the coolest one I've ever seen, so, well done and model on!

Yup, everything he said! Especially the shade photos. Nicely done.
larman Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 You do a great job on all your builds and the photography is outstanding!
Scott8950 Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Very cool!!! I've got one waiting and I've got similar plans for it ?
TarheelRick Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Most excellent build of my favorite class of dragsters - the Gasser. Very convincing weathering and as the others said your photography skills are superb. That car looks like a lot from the mid 60's, two or three friends would drag a body out of a junkyard, throw some blood, sweat, and tears into it and go racing, having fun.
Fairfax Posted September 27, 2019 Author Posted September 27, 2019 Thank you so much to all the guys for the nice sentences. I really appreciate it. May you do well ! :-)
Fairfax Posted October 15, 2019 Author Posted October 15, 2019 Thank you so much Johnny for a nice comment! :-)
David G. Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Absolutely spectacular! It's like a Barn-find Rat-Gasser. The weathering is very convincing, I can almost smell the dirt, oil and rusty metal. Your photography is superb as well. David G.
Claude Thibodeau Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Hi! Ready to be cast in a Hollywood movie! Unique and interesting! CT

Reuhkapelti2 Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 (edited) That beast looks like it could eat you alive. Very cool looking gasser and the weathering is outstanding. I would for sure take this one to my shelf. Edited October 20, 2019 by Reuhkapelti2
