You're correct. I have a few '60 DeSotos and '62 Dodge Dart HT kits (USA Oldies reissues) molded in red, among other designer colors.

Not to mention every Ferrari ever kitted by Tamiya, including but not limited to 1:12 scale Enzo, GTO, and 641.  Also, the 1:20 scale F189, F60.  In 1:24 scale FXX, Enzo, F60, Acura NSX(new and old), Testa Rossa, Mazda MX-5 and about 40 other kits.  Too many to put here.

I watched my father build one (since it was somewhat related to the family train hobby) sometime prior to 1977.  We still have it.

I dont have a picture of it, but I swear Monogram's VW van "Firebomb" was molded in red..... as was the "Cherry bomb.

And I know this one was molded in red ...

I believe the is the 1984 version of this kit. It is distinctly different than most of the 72 Chevelle kits floating around out there.

Monogram “Predicta” show car. Original issue was molded in metallic red (very rare). Subsequent versions in plain old red. And yes, some of the later reissues were in blue, but my favorite was always the red.
