I got the spare engine built. The only part I didn't seem to have was the air cleaner, so I grabbed one out of my parts box.

I drilled new mounting holes for the front wheels lower and at an angle to give a little more lift and add some positive camber to simulate extended upper a arms. I also lifted the rear a equal amount by extending the rear shocks and adding some styrene rod on top of the springs to look like hydrolic cylinders. I also installed the exhaust while I was at it.

I didn't wait long enough between color and clear on the body, so it's in the purple pond. For a mostly box stock build, I'm not having very good luck with it.

Number 32 - I'm finally able to post my entry pic for the Two Lane Blacktop. I was waiting on my resin body to arrive so now I'm all over it. Still acquiring the needed parts.

How about posting your build number in your thread to help the rest of us following along? So I just put up my first post so now I'll go back and add number 32 to to it based on the last entry list from a few posts above.

The Gumball Cobra made it back into the shop ...

I decided to go with the kit supplied tires, with goodyear decals and dullcote, they look alright. I stripped the chrome from the wheels and alclad chromed them, and hand painted the inners with Testors flat aluminium.

Next up hinging those little doors and the trunk...

Good luck to all Cannonballers !!

Good idea... I decided to put a thumbs up emoji on the finished projects just to keep track myself.  I'm optimistic that we will have at least 90% of the cars entered, make it to the deadline, myself included...?

I have been very busy lately and while I did post that I was finished, I never posted the final build here. Because this build is a big rig I posted the pictures in the Big Rig Underglass section.

Hope you like it.

#32 - I had a spare body of the AMT two door sedan so I thought..."Why not see how it goes?" I separated the front flip nose section from the body with a PE saw and had to add a bit of thin sheet styrene along one edge of the hood to get it to fit the fenders better. I also cut out the wing windows, shaved off the body trim from both sides, removed the wipers, added back in the missing slits under the wipers,  and cut out the rear wheel openings. I either need to take the wheel wells from the resin body or add some styrene to the AMT body for the flare. My plan is to take the firewall from the resin body and pair it to the AMT body. IMO, the resin body wasn't as good as the AMT kit body. Here's a few pictures to show my progress.

Nice work.  I've seen the resin body on ebay and thought it wouldn't be too difficult to perform the required modifications on the AMT kit.  You are proving it is doable.

#32 - Thanks JC. A little at a time but now I'm working 7 days a week and just don't have much time for the bench. I'm still sourcing parts from my stash and a few things still to find.

My Road House Riv is in peril.

I used to have a home computer station. When I went to a laptop, the computer desk became my model bench. Now I've had to clear out the models to make it a computer desk again as I prepare to bring my work station home and do my company work there. Thanks Mr. Covid-19.

God willing, there will be build opportunities on the back side of this virus business.

I opened the trunk

Hey, that's some good engineering and scratch building...

#15  Lane Meyer's 67 Camaro.... I have secured the Revell 67 Camaro from a very loyal member here on the fourm...(Thanks to Robyn)...

I opened the kit and took inventory of all the parts and for whatever reason I thought the first issue was a small block... Never the less the 69 Nova 350 will work out great or an LS might be the ticket... Anyways, I'm really late gettin goin but I'll get rollin soon. Here is a "dumped box" photo...
