damodelguy az Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 i got this with rear cut off behind back tires. had it on a shelf i could see in my build room for some years so i could think on it. finally came up with a idea. thanx, cuttum up, can be fun
cobraman Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Pretty cool. You made something cool from what looked like a total loss.
espo Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 I have seen enough of your builds to know it would turn out good, just didn't expect it would look this nice even while following the build it's self. This looks like something a custom body shop or a dealership might put together as a parts runner. I like the paint colors and the wheels. To me the best part is how you have the trim coming off the roof around the rear window and out onto the top of the bed.
Koellefornia Kid Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 While I was watching the wip thread I thought that was a nice idea. Being it finished now I think the idea was absolutely great. It turned out really cool!
TooOld Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 I gotta admit I was skeptical but you pulled it off and it looks pretty cool ! Nice work !
Oldcarfan27 Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 My favorite part is how the rear fenders match the styling cove on the front fenders. Well thought out!
bisc63 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Very creative use of an otherwise scrap piece. Love it! Tasteful color combos on both the models pictured; care to share exactly what colors you used?
damodelguy az Posted January 12, 2020 Author Posted January 12, 2020 thanx guys, yellow pic was how i got it off ebay, redone the 55 ford promo, and painted with dupli color engine paint, detroit diesel alpine green and tamiya gray green. has a 57 ford chassie under it. the lincoln continental truck was painted tamiya pearl light blue and dupli color perfect match gun metal metallic
geetee66 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Man! That worked out sweet! utterly unique and cool
David G. Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 An interesting mash-up well done. It reminds me of the custom cars that I would see at the Auto-Rama shows in the seventies. David G.
