It was the first return of the show after covid, and the tables were absolutely stuffed with the best work everyone had done in the last five years, making the win all the more meaningful. I will post the build in Under Glass as soon as I get around to taking some decent photos. Congratulations. 1

iamsuperdan Posted May 6 Posted May 6 I went out to the garage. Did some organizing. I can actually see the top of my work bench now, and have some space to actually maybe work on a kit or two. It's been a couple of months since I've touched any plastic. 2
catpack68 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 (edited) Started back working on a Revell 71 442 W30 this morning I painted a while ago.The plan is to have it finished by next weekend for a show. The color is Tamiya TS-92 Metallic Orange which is a close match to the factory Bittersweet color offered that year. The clear is Splash2k.Going to add a lil detail and keep it simple. Edited May 14 by catpack68 4

NOBLNG Posted May 10 Posted May 10 I put the first few coats of Createx on my ‘68 Dart. I put on multiple light coats but It really didn’t seem to want to flow into the door and trunk seams. So I hand painted them with some un-thinned paint. More coats to follow.🥵 2
Mattilacken Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Got some serious work done to the Impala SS today. And I am actually not that far away of finishing it! 9
PatW Posted May 11 Posted May 11 One side of stickers! Yes not slippery decals! Roof rack to be secured at the end! 5
catpack68 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I worked a little this morning on the Revell 71 442.It has been problem free so far.I should have it wrapped up on Friday.Finishing it up for a show on Saturday. 5
PatW Posted May 14 Posted May 14 A bit off centre, I received two laser cut kits Christmas 2023 I think. The first a Spitfire Fighter. An F1 is under construction! 1
PatW Posted Thursday at 03:55 PM Posted Thursday at 03:55 PM The other of the two Laser Cut kits, the F1 car!
Mattilacken Posted Thursday at 09:30 PM Posted Thursday at 09:30 PM I manage to make a mock-up of a truck that have been floating around in my mind for awhile. A step side log bed on the ‘99 Silverado kit. Aoshima hilux bed insert fitted very close to what I had in mind. I was searching for some wheels for my daughter’s build and scavenged through my skyline box. And decided to just slap it together never the less I like it or not. So I added some decals and will slap it together tomorrow just to make it done. 4

Thanks, I'm glad you liked my jig, here are a couple more. First of all, I have jigs not because I am a perfectionist or that I have high ambitions, I have these to facilitate, to cope. The aluminum profiles are worth their weight in gold to see if it is perpendicular, support etc. The aluminium plate,I have drilled holes perpendicularly (eeeh a mechanical workshop) and I use it to glue plasticard rod to parts just perpendicularly, very good, dry over a nigth or two. Wooden blocks in different sizes are nice to have on hand. As you can see, the roll bar turned out ok but the front track width needs to be adjusted. Edited Saturday at 05:48 PM by Ulf 4
Lownslow Posted Friday at 11:41 PM Posted Friday at 11:41 PM Working on a Stang Van, one off wheels and decided against scratch building a window so im adding a air ride setup for it. 3
Mattilacken Posted Saturday at 10:52 PM Posted Saturday at 10:52 PM Was slapping this one together. Just glad to get it of my desk. Some minor details and a cleanup and it’s done. 4
wrenchr Posted Sunday at 08:58 AM Posted Sunday at 08:58 AM I have a buddy at work that has got the bug from me to try out building models but he is intimidated by all the parts / painting. I had an old monogram Tom Daniel 1/32 duster funny car kit / old build sitting around and I took it into work an on break times painted it to show it is not to tough to get a decent result with minimal effort. The chassis was broke so I bought an atlantis release to finish. I gave it to him to take home. I must admit that little kit was a fun build. I used some older slixx decals I had in my stash. He is a root beer pop junky, thats why I picked the color. Testors one shot lacuer. 2
