Force Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 (edited) Very nice as usual from you KJ, it has the "right look"...and a fast build. Edited January 29, 2020 by Force
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 You just have a way with a Kenworth! That is one excellent build! The paint scheme and the spokes really make this one stand out! I'd like to see all of your KW's together in a photo some time, if you can get them all to fit in one photo.?
kilrathy10 Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 Another beautiful rig build... I can just see this one out over the road with a 53' Great Dane trailer; still running rolling after all these years...Beautiful....
iamsuperdan Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 I don't know how you guys crack out builds this quickly. Especially builds as nice as this one.
Hermann Kersten Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 The Kenny and paint job are awesome, the colors you choose, fit this truck perfectly. Hermann.
Oldmopars Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Wow, great build. Looks awesome. You really moved through that build, I can't believe you got it done in 1 month. My tractor is 99% and my trailer is not even close.
gotnitro? Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Excellent work ! Everything about this truck looks spot on , the colors have the proper era stripes..the list goes on and on !
Casey429 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Excellent work as usual, KJ. I followed along in the build thread, and I do have one question out of curiosity. Why start with the K100 Aerodyne instead of the already flat top K123?

Why start with the K100 Aerodyne instead of the already flat top K123? Thanks! There were a few reasons I went with the Aerodyne. The truck that I was replicating had an 8V92 engine, 8-bag air ride suspension, wider front grille, paddle style door handles, and oil dipstick door on the passenger's side. It was going to be a lot of work regardless of what kit I started with, but the Aerodyne meant that I had to source fewer parts from other kits.
1959scudetto Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Great KW - has the typical look of a 70's truck!

I immediately noticed how realistic the windshield wipers looked, so I went back to your in-progress thread to get more info. Sure enough, they are scratch-built (not stock kit item). How did you make them? Details like this make or break the model's realism. Good job!

They are quite simple to make, but they help improve the look of the model over the molded in wipers.
peteski Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Thanks for the info KJ. Like you said, something simple to make from scratch, but makes a huge visual difference.
TECHMAN Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 ??? Your builds are always so impressive... This one keeps the bar Way Up There!!!! DJ Quote
