I actually find this one a little offensive. Rather than funny. Seems like a political point of view to me. And I'm not one who feels the need to protest over what's going on right now.

And the first one you posted, I just don't get. What's the "Old Town Road" song?

I agree but the last time I mentioned something to be politically offensive nothing was done to the post I found offensive and my post was removed.

Sorry to say Ace, I think both of the sources you link to seem to have a little bit of a political slant, which makes me question them. At the same time there is some truth to them too. But, I think the problems are deeper than "Common Core" as stated in the links above. There are several problems leading to the problems of educating children today. Many caused by people on the left politicaly. But, that's not complete and whole story.

I hope we can back to the now!

More good ones Snake. But, I will be interested in seeing if anybody complains about the Michelangelo God and Adam one. It's very close to the the Last Supper one that I put up a couple of weeks ago, and had taken down. It's funny to me. So I'm not complaining. But don't be surprised if somebody does.

If anyone complains (by name not anonymously), I will be glad to go back and delete that one (as long as it's within the next two days). Fair enough? B)

Please stop it, both of you. There are plenty of places on the net to argue about this topic, and this thread is NOT one of them.

We've got a good thing going here. PLEASE let's not screw it up, gang!

Your right Snake. Thank you for pointing it out. I'm okay with moving at this point.

I'm of a strong Christian persuasion and I thought it was actually pretty funny.

Not political, just making fun of the stereotypical science denying protestors and their often...colourful...outfits.

Whatever, deleted it.

If you want to hear some nonsense, go to youtube and look up Old Town Road. It was huge last year. A typical rap song, but featuring some twangy guitar and Billy Ray Cyrus. It's pretty awful. Those who made it huge should be punished. Having said that, I feel that way about just about every song I see on a Top 10 list, as they're always rap or pop, and I hate that stuff.

I am so unhip. And rarely listen to any radio station playing new "music." I have no idea what the "Old Town Road" is, so didn't understand the joke. Plus it being song by Billy Ray Cyrus? I assume it's "country" then? And modern "country" music is not something I listen to for sure. I barely like in better than rap music. Which to me, rap is not really music at all.

It's country rap. So it takes the two musical genres I dislike the most and melds them together.

I think the part of the whole song that makes me laugh is that when it became a hit last summer, you had all these tough beer drinking, truck driving, tobacco chewing redneck men singing along and professing their love for this amazing new country/rap mash-up...and then it comes out that Lil Nas, the guy who wrote the song and sings it, is a very flamboyant gay man. That appeared to be a tough pill to swallow for the good ol boys!

You should delete this blatantly political comment, too.

Oh, and thanks for deleting the other offensive one, which was also political.

This entire thread should just be shut down. Every single post in it could be considered political.

Also, while we're at it, let's delete every post where somewhere sends thoughts and prayers or says "God bless ", because that is religious and could offend the non-religious people.

So what's so wrong with Common Core then?

(After I read back, I saw the the CC thing was played out. I deleted my CC explanation from the view of a new teacher but I could not delete the quote.)

And now let's get back the funniest thread on this site.

Please keep the coming guys. They make my day.

I heard about Pat Sajak's comical "rant" about having to go out in public with a mask on and, as a celebrity, NOT being recognized. Pretty funny satire.

And then I realized, there's still at least one celebrity who could go anywhere in America WITH a mask on and still be recognized by almost everybody.

Richard Petty.

Absolutely!  I'm very offended by every religion - cults which brainwash people into believing their existence depends on some supreme being.

Now,  back on topic.

I have considered taking electric clippers to my head, right now I don’t have to be back in the office until June, might as well give myself a buzz cut and let it grow back from there?

The.lady who cuts my hair will cut mine Saturday it’s been 6 weeks.  My son and I have a standing appointment every 3 weeks. He likes his buzzed off but he is 15....

I haven't had my hair cut since late-January, before I had surgery.

By the time I was recovered enough to leave the house, the world had changed!

Ah well, we're starting to open up here, and it sounds like hairdressers will be back up and running in a couple of weeks.
