videocast36 Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 This kit was a nightmare for me. made by Revell it had problems only an advanced modeler could possibly see and fix ahead of time. even so It came out pretty good but not ever to see a show. I have learned quite a bit from it, and my next project should be easier knowing what to look for and slowing down before putting glue on it.The rear body panel is a horrible design and a bear to glue in place in the proper position. The front grill or the left fender is warped or something but just wouldnt set in place by a person of my skill level. other things too, but I'll stop whining now. The paint is Tamiya pearl green with speedo kote 2 part clear about 2 coats. all in all I like the cars stance and design. I'll put it on display at home with the left side against the wall.?
vamach1 Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Very nice and cool color. I built a resin one in the 90's (the convertible was not available yet) sold by Mini Exotics. When I do another one I will paint it Gulfstream Aqua. I remember the gold decals were not great and I had to double them up over the dark burgundy paint.
Hotrod 97 Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Even with the problems, it still looks nice. I like the green paint with black stripes.
videocast36 Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 I feel better now. Thanks to all of you.
espo Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Even with all the problems you described the finished model looks great.

Sir I feel your pain. Doing one for the last several years and find problems everywhere. You did a great job on finishing the kit. The front bumper and hood moulding are tough. The lower front pan has nothing to mount to. The rear is even worse. But we are modelers and figure out a way. It is a tough model. You do not see many completed. Great job!!!
