I bought this off ebay UK for a song, it said little used, but it was broken into numerous pieces. There was no radiator shell so I made one with alloy mesh, only the right arm for the Hot Curl figure,(so I made a prosthetic left arm) and he was broken into three parts, one whole Schwinn Stingray bike and another broken with front forks and wheel missing. So I used the chrome wheels (as one of the spoked wheels was broken)and used sprue for the axles. The front lights have no lenses either.

The Hot Curl figure has a body in two halves, front and back, the legs have a spring mounted to the top that sticks inside the two halves, so the figure can be mounted on a dashboard and it dances as you drive along!

Very cool !  I think you're mesh grille adds to it , something a surfer would do to repair his old Woody .  :D

Interesting save on Hot Curl! I had a figure I got in a parts box that was missing both arms and a leg. My save? I cut off the remaining shoe and used it in my camper

Thanks Tom. I've just looked at your Bugburban from Fink's but it doesn't allow purchasing on their website.

Neat looking Surf Wagon. Maybe a Shark got the Arm ? Great idea on the Prosthetic, much better than trying to reproduce an Arm.

Thanks guys, yes the prosthetic limb was the only answer, it still allows the patient to surf!

I built one of those when they came out. Late 1960s?  Mine was the pickup version and painted orange. I put wood grain ‘stick back plastic’ in the bed to try and make look like a wooden floor.

Thanks guys. Yes this had some sticky back paper wood grain in the box, but it fell to pieces! No date on the box/instructions but it must have been old.
