RancheroSteve Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 A quick (for me anyway) quarantine build. Started at the end of February, finished yesterday. Just trying to have a little fun with this one and not get overly obsessed. Chassis built box stock, hood glued closed. A sort of "what if"/tribute car. Decals from the Roth '57 Chevy applied to the AMT Nomad. Roof and tailgate were smoothed, and the hood rockets from the '57 were grafted into the '55 hood. Roof was striped using Tamiya fine line masking tape. Tires from the '50 Olds kit, wheels from Replicas & Miniatures. Thanks for looking!
espo Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 This looks great, you could bet Roth would have done something like this. The '57 hood really gets your attention. Very nice smooth finish and I like the creativity.
Misha Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 Very kool! and a “quick build”. Congrats on a grand tribute build for Big Daddy! Misha
Phildaupho Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 WOW This is stunning. Big Daddy would approve. Like David said - the 57 hood is a great addition
Snake45 Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 Very, VERY nice! I'm sure Big Daddy would have approved. Model on!
Koellefornia Kid Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Awesome! I think the Roth decals look even better on the ´55 Nomad than on the `57 Chevy!
