dragcarz
One of my Holy Grail builds here. I’m not even sure how I feel about the finished build. Usually by the time I’m close to being finished, I just want it over. I’ve been a couple months on the build and in all honesty it will be a few weeks before I will appreciate the time and work involved. Most of the research I found centered around the 71 Duster, and not the 72, so some liberties were taken in the completion of the build. The original MPC kit while so cool when it came out, left a lot to be desired. I wanted to keep the build as much as original to the kit, but I had to do major work on almost every part. If I had it to do over I would paint all the stripes, and use the Revell Hemi Dart kit for everything else. Questions, comments, and even criticism welcome.

TonyK
Always liked this car and you did a great job on it. Remember a friend of mine in the 70's built the kit and for some reason I didn't buy it and have wanted one ever since. I recall it had wrinkled slicks in the original kit. All the hard work paid off and the finished model looks great and very convincing, the stance is absolutely perfect! I have almost all those old pro stock kits from the 70s in my collection but not the '72 Duster... I am jealous... Well done sir you can be proud of it!!! dragcarz
Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate the positive feed back! I’m stoked this year to finally finish some of the models I’ve had on the build list for far too long. If you followed some of my other builds you will remember I hurt my right index finger last October and still now only have partial use of it and it’s probably as good as it’s going to get. Needless to say it’s made model building more of a challenge, but at the same time caused me to appreciate my hands and eyes all the more. Build them while you can guys, I cannot express how much better it is to see this finished in the display case, than what I invisioned in my mind.
