randyc Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Finished. Pretty much box stock. Weathering is as hard as shiny, just not as nerve wracking.
OldNYJim Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Looks great Randy - looks like it would be a fun little hot rod to bomb around in! Nice job!
doorsovdoon Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Great weathering, and the colour looks like old lead paint, that type of look you can't get with modern paints anymore.
randyc Posted July 28, 2020 Author Posted July 28, 2020 (edited) Thanks for the compliments. Edited July 28, 2020 by randyc
Spottedlaurel Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 That's gone from being a WIP to Under Glass very quickly - looks great! The colours and weathering have all worked out really well.
Paul Payne Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Looks like it’s ready for a T.R.O.G. run- got sand?
Gramps46 Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 OK, I am impressed with what you have done with this A. I have a special place in my heart for A's.

To all of you. It was really fun to build and think about the details and making sure every part got some weathering. I say it needs some dull chrome hubcaps, but wife says guy wouldn't have those. Yeah she had some input here too. Wait'll you see my Tamiya Morgan. Shame to build it like I'm going to have to, but the bad paint refuses to come off. But it has a nice barn find survivor look to it. 1 hour ago, Paul Payne said: Looks like it’s ready for a T.R.O.G. run- got sand? THAT is what I should have done to that Heller Delahaye I started. It is going to new home, where hopefully it will get finished. But if not, I hope it lives on in some other project.
randyc Posted August 2, 2020 Author Posted August 2, 2020 Thanks, everyone. I wanted to do something different and feel like I succeeded. And that a lot you like it just makes it even better.
Husky1943 Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 I love it, Randy. Realistic looking weathering and just the right amount of rust and dust! Great job!
