yellowsportwagon Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 This is an old promo rescue. I removed the b pillars slammed it polished the glass and restored the bumpers. Painted it what my wife calls Rainbow in the dark. Done except front grille detail and emblems. That’ll wait till my shoulder heals.
Funkychiken Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 The paint work is stunning! It's a super cool build!
espo Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 I agree with Funkychiken on the paint work. Is that a glitter type clear coat or a metallic Black color ?

Is that a glitter type clear coat or a metallic Black color ? It is a jet black with five colors of zirillac pearl in it and over it also. It is next to impossible to photograph. The last four pictures look the closest to how the eye sees it.If it is inside it just looks black until you bang it with a bright light. My family thinks it’s real cool as do I. Just wish it photographed better. Edited August 20, 2020 by yellowsportwagon
Koellefornia Kid Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Gotta love a slammed Lincoln! Nice paint job!
Modlbldr Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 That looks great slammed like that. The paint is very similar to what I did on a Super Coupe slammer that I built about 20 years ago except that mine was a gloss black coat of paint with a top mist coat of Duplicolor Mystic Rainbow. Same effect. Gloss black until you hit it with a light or sunlight. Then it is beautiful! Your build is fantastic. Hope your shoulder heals soon. Later-
doorsovdoon Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Very nice paint. Been wanting to build the newer release of this but doesn't come as a hardtop, only convertible or station wagon, the later never existed.
Fish_65 Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 That's super cool and great execution. Love the look, very contemporary.

Safire6 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I like your wife's name for the paint: "rainbow in the dark". Very creative! Nice job.
