gseeds Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 (edited) Trying to finish off old started projects, Here’s a model I’ve been wanting to finish for a long time, A monogram 40 ford pick up built pretty much box stock , adding monogram lil coffin wheels and tires, made a bed cover and added canted head lights only, after doing A little body work and flairing all four wheel wells and painting And pearl black with some flames i loss interest and I put the truck back in it’s box and it sat for 2 years , couple of weeks ago I pulled it back out to finished it , thinking it needed something else to go with the truck I built the fiat drag car built pretty much box stock except front tires, painted black to match truck I feel it makes a cool little drag team , I posted plenty pics , maybe too many!! Lol , thanks for looking!!! Edited September 8, 2020 by gseeds
espo Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Great looking Drag Team. I like the stance and the build style on the truck.
AmericanMuscleFan Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Very beautiful Gary! Glad you finished it, the combo with the Fiat drag car is just perfect! Your paint jobs are second to none sir... always a feast for the eyes!!! ?
Steve H Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Hi Gary, what a combo! As Francis said, your paint jobs are always absolutely stunning. Love the fender flares, makes a big difference to the look of the truck. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Steve

alan barton Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 Love the canted headlights, love the flames, love the flares, but the stroke of pure genius is the yellow on the bed, the trailer wheels and the Fiat frame - that, sir, is pure artistic talent. Glad you got it finished after its long snooze. Cheers Alan
Goose1957 Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 Now that's a cool combo. Great looking build on both of them. They look very period correct. Beautiful paint job, not over the top. Nice. Jeff
Koellefornia Kid Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 I already spotted that Pick Up on photos of some of your earlier posts and I couldn't wait to see it finished... Expectations exceeded! Very Nice set!

Cheers Alan Thanks Alan , yeah at first the the interior was black and red but after painting the pearl white flames and fogging them in candy yellow the red just didn’t look right, so I changed everything to yellow, I also felt it gave it more of a vintage look , thanks!
Hermann Kersten Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Very nice set, I like the paintjob on the fenders. Hermann.
Claude Thibodeau Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Hi Gary! Great combo. The hand-laid pinstripe around the flames speaks to your mastery of the technique. Bravo! CT
