Tom Geiger Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 (edited) I had seven completions for 2020.. not too shabby for me! First one was the total restoration of my Blue Beetle that I started last year. In fact I had to check to see if I did finish this last year.. nope! My photos are dated January 18th! And this was before we were concerned about Covid! I got the Blue Beetle off the bench just in time for the 24 Hour Build. My entry, which I did finish in time, was the blue Falcon stocker with Little Debbie sponsorship. It sits on the shelf with my previously finished Valiant stocker! Then Covid hit! John Papp started a Lockdown build on Facebook and I decided that I had never gotten to building a 1950 Chevy pickup, which I did to match wall art in one of my favorite restaurants. It came out well, and having plenty of time, I did two more from the snap version, which I gave to the restaurant. After three of the same model I was a bit modeled out. I was calling it my Groundhog Day build since I’d get up everyday and build the same model! And it was summer. That led me to spend much of my time working on my deck and bridge, replacing a lot of boards, then painting it all! Then I started working on the long languishing Jeepster pickup project! I entered it into the Bring Out Your Dead build here on the board. And it got completed on 12-31, along with a companion Jeep project car! That’s my 2020. I’m hoping for a better 2021 for everyone! bbowser Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Great work! I know what you mean about building the same kit, I've done dozens of NASCAR kits.

I have a friend who used to build funny cars.. eventually he just built funny car bodies and placed them onto chassis he already had!
mustang1989 Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 You've got a good lineup there Tom!! That deck and bridge came out great as well.
AMT68 Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Great work Tom and I'd eventually like to try a build using the weathered look you used on the Chevy pickup.
Phildaupho Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Good to see your production for 2020. I especially like the photo of the pickups and the trees.
TooOld Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Not too shabby at all Steve , those are some excellent looking builds !
Ramfins59 Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Great stuff Tom. I'm hoping that 2021 is better for all of us. Stay well my friend.
majel Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Very nice builds! I love how all three trucks are similar but different enough to make each one unique.

Thanks! It’s the delivery fleet! Check out the plates! The restaurant is called “Epicurean Garage” thus the “EPIC” plates!
ATHU Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Most excellent line up, love those weathered pickups!!
alan barton Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Looks like you had a pretty good 2020 if you ask me Tom! Any year that starts off with a Model A can't be all bad. I do like your triplets! Cheers Alan
David G. Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Excellent turnout for the year! Your patina on the Chevy Truck Trio is very convincing. David G.
BeakDoc Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 That’s quite the 2020, Tom. I really like the Jeepsters.
Tom Geiger Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 Thanks guys! It was a fun year at the bench. Most of my production was early in the year while hunkered down. August onward I found a consulting gig which took much of my time and energy. This week I have done some fiddling on the Jeeps.. ya know those little details that tick you off? Fixed em!
doorsovdoon Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Stunning work, Tom. Love those three pick-ups! The Jeep and parts car is great.
Nxr Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 I like the jeepney on the right, will survive nyc traffic no issue
