bbowser Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 My only LHS doesn't carry Tamiya paints. I usually go with Modelroundup but they don't have the colors I'm looking for. Where do you go online?
stinkybritches Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 My number 1 online place is scalehobbyist. Good prices and quick service. I don't buy a lot of Tamiya paint so I can't comment on their selection.
gotnitro? Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Scale hobbyist excellent service and fast shipping
Snake45 Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Mega Hobby and Sprue Brothers are two more good ones.
Dave Van Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 When I need something that my regulars do not have......last resort....Amazon.
Plowboy Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 If you need your paint soon, do not order from Hobbylinc! I placed an order for the first time two weeks ago. Just checked the status again and it still hasn't been shipped! It's projected to leave the warehouse 1/5. Never again! I would cancel. But, the card has already been charged. I'm going back to ebay where it takes 2-3 days to get my order. Not 2-3 weeks!

Apparently you haven't bought anything from eBay for a while. I JUST got something I bought on Nov 27, and am still waiting on something I bought on Dec 2. The mail and maybe even other carriers are WAY backed up right now, between coronavirus and the holidays.

Not since Nov. 12. Ordered on the 12th. Arrived on the 18th. I could understand shipping delays in transit. But, it still hasn't even left the warehouse! Edited January 3, 2021 by Plowboy
av405 Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Tower Hobbies. They just revamped their website, making it an even better experience.
mark 23 Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 MY local hobby store is having a had time getting Tamiya paint. He says it's a shipping problem from the factory in Japan & stuff sitting on the docks in California.

I've had very good experiences with them. Also Burbank's House Of Hobbies is an excellent vendor, in my experience.

They also seem to discount from MSRP on many kits, so that gives me warm fuzzies as well.
