Mark Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 That's in Australia...I have an Australian book with a picture of that same car on the back cover.
Rob Hall Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 That photo has been seen around the internet for probably 20 years or more...would love to know the story behind it. A Falcon was abandoned decades ago in a forest and a tree grew up around it?

Danno Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Climbed the tree, trying to flee the crusher? ??
TarheelRick Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Possible the owner wanted a less obvious deer stand.

A Falcon was abandoned decades ago in a forest and a tree grew up around it? Doubt it. When the tree was smaller, it wouldn't have had the strength to start lifting a ton and a half of car. Trees can grow around and through a car, but not lift it off the ground. Looks like someone cut a section away from a large tree and placed the car there. I've seen other pictures of similar projects in other locations. It definitely attracts attention!

Some years back some Canadian kids (I think they were) decided to come down and chain a VW bug to the Golden Gate Bridge and throw it over.

Belugawrx Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 just saying those pics are not from the same bridge
Venom Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 (edited) 20 minutes ago, Belugawrx said: just saying those pics are not from the same bridge I think it’s because from the angle of the square photo, you wouldn’t have been able to see it since it was directly under the bridge, and the G.G. is a huge bridge, so the pic in the small circle was taken from quite a distance which would explain the hazy image since there was probably mild haze in the air. Oldcarfan27 Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 (edited) I call foul. How would they have had time to set all that up beforehand. Stop traffic with a big truck when they get there, and rush to hook up and hoist that much metal over the safety railing and get away without ANYONE noticing? Either that or people there are totally clueless. That bridge has a lot of traffic on it all day long! Edited February 23, 2021 by Oldcarfan27
