Dan Hay Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 My two eldest have been asking to build a model for a while now, so I bought 2 Revell snap together 57 Chevys, and told them the could pick a paint color out of my stash and I would paint the body but they had to do everything else. They really had fun. I need to find some more cool snap kits for them, there's not a great selection. And, by the way, the Revell 57 snap kit was pretty nice! I wanted to build one and foil all the chrome.
Bainford Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 Very cool! Nice clean work. That’s a couple of sweet Chevys, there.
cobraman Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 Great ! I hope they enjoyed it and stick with it.
espo Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Besides the clean looking models this is a great way to spend some quality time with your children. Love seeing grins like this on young faces.
Venom Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 A couple of ‘57’s worthy of being proud of ... and seeing the happiness on the faces of two kids who built them really warms my heart. I’m sure these are the best pics I’ll see all day???
TransAmMike Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Great pictures, you have to adorable happy kids. I have read before that the '57 snap kit is really nice. Gotta try one. They really look great!!
robertw Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 While the snappers can turn out nice in the hands of us grey haired builders, I believe their original intent was to apply to beginning builders and congrats to you for doing exactly that. Keep looking for them and get your kids hooked. I would say both turned out very nice and they look proud of them.
alan barton Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Ya can't beat those smiles - says it all really! Well done, kids, well done Dad! Cheers Alan

fshoemake Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 we need to see more of this.I remember as a kid i couldnt wait to get my kit home build it as quick as i could then start looking forward to the next victim of my messy fingers.I tried getting my son into the hobby. He built a couple snap kits and i bought him a glue kit which is still waiting to be built.Love seeing those smiles
olschoolkid Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 I'm glad your children are wanting to get into model building. I wish more younger people would consider hobbies such as model building and not video games and other technology based activities.
carrucha Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Nice work. Cool to see the kids take an interest in model building.
