I just need to know if they are 100% GMO-free grass-fed, not cloned, and have names, and their own pasture, PETA approved, etc.  Oh yea, is the container 100% recycled and "sustainable".  And when the store cashier asks if I want it in a bag, I say the carton is fine.

Did EACH milk cow consent to having her milk taken for consumption by HUMANS?

Many years ago I was putting in a new outlet. My wife’s brother is mechanically inept and told me to stop, I was going to get electrocuted!

I told him it wasn’t an issue because the power was off. His response, “What about the electricity that’s still in the wires!”

I had a lamp in the room so I told him I had already drained the wires with that lamp. That satisfied him!

Sheeeeesh.

Jeez. I know you know...the truly pathetic part is that's not a joke.

Those folks are really out there, and getting their misguided little noses into all sorts of things.

I'm hesitant to suggest (in jest) a Bovine Lactation Workers Union, demanding $15 per hour for all producers.

Somebody will probably run with it.

Roza is a frigging genious!  The freaking AFT ought to be REAL proud of her!

She knows "misogyny" but not that only "girl" cows give milk.

I remember once in a social media group when the discussion was about dairy products. One person actually said (and I quote): "How dare humans steal the milk from a momma cow? That milk is for her babies!" I stared at the screen in disbelief, how many calves did she think a cow has per year? Since I worked on farms when I was a kid, I tried to explain to her the reality of the subject. But she had a tantrum and accused me of being ignorant.

Sarcastically, I asked her if it was okay to eat eggs or was I killing baby chickens and she told me that I was a cannibal, that all eggs should be allowed to hatch and that chicks have a right to live. So I told her that I had to go make a sandwich made with tomatoes and onions that I had murdered and that I'd put murdered cow meat (hamburger) on it as well. She called me names and I left.

I've discovered it's pretty easy to send such people into a complete meltdown.

I live in farming based area and some of the wombles (tourists) really have no clue where their food comes from, but it works both ways too. One of my friends likes to post pics of packaged beef with the tag line "thank a hunter" I responded with shooting cows in a field isn't real hunting and he lost the plot saying thats not the point and I was deliberately making him look dumb.... I think he hears a whooshing sound as things go over his head

I once read a clueless little chickie's rant online condemning hunters for needlessly killing animals for meat.

Her finale: "If you HAVE to eat meat, why not just go get it at the grocery store WHERE IT'S MADE!!!"

Doesn’t surprise me in the least.

It seams to me that it’s always the stupidest people on the planet that don’t know when, or even how, to keep their mouths shut!

although, i did have a conversation between my wife that insists brown eggs taste different from white eggs. i kept telling her they are the same except comes from a brown chicken.

That is not necessarily true. Certain breeds lay brown eggs and their feathers can be black, brown, reddish, or white. This white chicken lays brown eggs. If she is comparing "factory farm" white eggs with "free range" brown eggs, she is probably right about the flavor. A chicken's diet has a lot to do with the flavor of her eggs. An urban farmer I once worked with fed his chickens feed with a lot of chlorophyll, and the yolks were much darker than the white eggs from the market and tasted better too. Of course, they had just emerged from the chicken a few hours before he gave them to me. We used to stink up the break room making hard boiled eggs when Jim brought eggs to share.

My daughter raises a few chickens and sells and gives away the eggs.

Her chickens vary in color, but they all produce brown eggs.

I agree that they taste better than a grocery store egg and the yolks are closer to orange than yellow, but the most notable difference I have noticed is the toughness of the shells and the weakness of the yolk membrane.

They're tough to crack, and very tough to keep the yolks from breaking.

On a sad note, she recently lost eight chickens and her rooster, Walter, to a fox.

Does it really matter?  It’s not like he’s going on a job interview.. he seems indifferent.

Many years ago I had a dog who freaked out going for a haircut so I did it myself on the patio. One time I gave him a Mohawk. I thought he looked great, and all he knew was that kids all pet his head!
