tim boyd Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Did a topic search and could not locate the existing thread on this kit, so here is a new one with the latest images on this kit project from the NNL Motor City on November 14, 2021. Mods, please feel free to join this with the existing thread if it does indeed exist....TIM This is the cover of the assembly manual... The instrument panel gauges (#1 below) will be separated into three separate decals to enhance assembly in the final production kit run.... Thanks for sharing with us, Dave! TB 5
1972coronet Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Gorgeous ! Thanks for the pics ( and for the F-Series pics ) , Tim ! Now , does this kit come with a figure of that chick and a 20-piece kite ?
blizzy63 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 "Nova SS" emblem on the front fenders... ...my brain melts...
drodg Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Wow. That looks great. I forgot there was a 64 Nova SS
Khils Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 I am "Super stoked" about this very treasure! A '64.....Long over due!
MrObsessive Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Thanks for posting this Tim! It'll be interesting to compare it to Trumpeter's much wanted (and now expensive) '63 Coupe. I'd like to grab this one when it makes it to the hobby vendors. Looks great from where I sit! ?
ChrisBcritter Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Not bad! Will there be whitewall tires?

That's apparently where the badging was for '64. Googling turns up images of 1:1s like that. '62-63 had the badging on the rear quarters, as did '65.
Mr. Metallic Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 So, box and decals ready to go. Does that mean this one is closer to production than the 65 drag car?

rickcaps55 Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 I WANT IT NOW >!!!!! so long over due .!! and we need a stock 65.!!
kelson Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Looks really good!, i think i'll be buying a couple.?
tim boyd Posted November 17, 2021 Author Posted November 17, 2021 I don't know anything specific about WW tires on the Nova SS. I asked specifically about the timing of the Nova SS and Gasser sedan. They are both expected to be on a container in late January, and both to go on sale at the same time when they arrive here in the State and go into the distribution channels. Info always subject to change, but that was the news as of two days ago....TIM 2
Classicgas Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 (edited) Mmmmm tasty. Now I gotta wipe off my tablet. Edited November 17, 2021 by Classicgas
1972coronet Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Certainly I'm not alone in saying this : I hope that @tim boydwill link a review to this SS Hardtop when he gets his copy . 1

At my high school (1978-81), 1962-67 Chevy IIs and Acadians were THE hot car, but I never ever saw the emblems on the front fenders or knew of their existence!

Cool Hand Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Thanks for the update Tim, a couple of each kit is a must have.
stavanzer Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 What options can be expected from a stock version of this kit? Wheels, Intake Choices? Anything else? I'm thanking half of these sold will be engine donors to Round2 Nova Wagons...........
