mchook Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 I started with a RMR resin cab, used a Foose FD-100 running gear, interior and built my own bed. Decals from a 50 Chevy just for fun with one of my rotten paint jobs. I'm glad to see it finished, hope you like it. 2 1
Smoke Wagon Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Wow. Real bed chains, great weathering, great paintwork, great scratch building, great kit bashing, great everything about this build! Well done. This is the best scale IH pickup I’ve ever seen.
thatz4u Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 extremely well done....I'd drive it....seen a lot of IHC trucks in my area...
happy grumpy Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 You certainly nailed this one Mark, The details and a super background makes it really pop. Beautiful patina. Love it.

espo Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Great fabrication work on this body. I like the way you finish your paint and trim.
Nazz Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Looks fantastic Mark! I love this truck. Stellar weathering. Jerry
Zippi Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 That's a good looking International. The weathering looks killer for this 56. The wheels and stance really give the truck a good look. Having a Hog in the shop never hurts either.
Koellefornia Kid Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Super nice! I watched the wip and was excited about how this would look when finished. Expectations exceeded!
mchook Posted December 9, 2021 Author Posted December 9, 2021 Thanks everyone for all the great comments!
Steve H Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 Rust never looked so good!! You knocked this one out of the park Mark. Hands down the best “Foose” truck I’ve seen, although I realize you changed a thing or 2 ?. Great photos too, I need a diorama! Could you build me a shop?! Cheers, Steve

Cheers, Steve Thanks Steve, if it wouldn't cost a small fortune to ship it to you I sure would build you a shop. It's pretty easy to make. It's just 3/8 sheetrock, drywall (whatever you want to call it) with the paper removed from 1 side then block scribed into it. The interior is just full of cheap diorama stuff, nothing fancy at all.
NOBLNG Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 Terrific job Mark! ? That rust job looks like it was many years in the making!?
Phildaupho Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 Very interesting and well done model and as mentioned by others - great photos and back ground.
KWT Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 very nicely done. Definitely something you don't see everyday. And you're weathering is always some that I admire.

Thanks Greg, It's amazing what a few hours in a zip lock bag and that sophisticated finishes stuff can do. It turns years into minutes.? Thanks Jeremy, I've been wanting to do something different for a while and when I saw this resin cab I had to have it. The weathering is just my lazy way of doing a paint job. "When", not if I screw up the paint I just add more rust.?
AmericanMuscleFan Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Another good proof of your great talent Mark, your weathering technique is a reference on this forum and you prove it once again! A rare beauty too! ?

Chuck Most Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Love the truck, but that Rusty's Rust Proofing guy sure sucks at his job. His expert techniques did quite a number on a GMC Sonoma I built some time ago, too. ?

I love the way you do your weathering. It looks like you use the salt technique and it always comes out amazing. I've tried it a number of times and never was happy with my results.
