Gramps46 Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Magazine photo outside in the courtyard by the Ferrari racing shop (kind of).? Here is the late John Johnson's Teapot Graphics version for real. It was a complete resin kit with Herb Deeks PE wheels. The TRi62 won Le Mans in 1962 driven by two of my favorite drivers, Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien. One fault I have with my build is it is too glossy for a period correct racing Ferrari. Thanks for looking. 1
Dave B Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Great build Gary, that looks great. I have the same problem with race cars, I build them too glossy, can't help myself. Dave B
1959scudetto Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Outstanding build, Gary - with the background, it almost looks real.
Rich Chernosky Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 A very nice build Gary. Luv the photography too.
Bainford Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Nice work, Gary. Beautiful rendition of a beautiful Ferrari. I really dig the first, black & white photo.
Gramps46 Posted December 22, 2021 Author Posted December 22, 2021 Thanks to all for your comments. Reference the B/W photo, it is a reminder that back in the '60s that is mostly what we model builders had for reference.
89AKurt Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 I assume it's a resin kit? Too funny that you can do a shiny paint job that easily. ? I like the settings for the photos.
Gramps46 Posted December 22, 2021 Author Posted December 22, 2021 Yup, a John Johnson Teapot Graphics resin kit.
randyc Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Excellent. Love all the historical models you present.
gbtr6 Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 I've got this Teapot kit as well as a Breadvan trans-kit, a 330 LMB trans-kit, and a Herb Deeks Lancia D50, and a couple other old resin kits. Perry
Gramps46 Posted December 30, 2021 Author Posted December 30, 2021 Perry, you are very fortunate to have the Teapot kits.
