This is a very nice kit (originally Monogram?) that Revell re-issued in their "California Wheels" series.  I built it OOB other than plug wires.  Base paints for the exterior are from Scale Finishes and were mixed to match the original factory colors "Suntan Copper" and "Fawn Beige".  Metal trim was masked and airbrushed using Alclad chrome over black enamel.  The trunk is openable on this kit but I managed to glue mine shut due to excess epoxy on the rear chrome light pieces.  My favorite part of this kit is the interior, an absolute jewel that is really easy to paint and detail. I highly recommend this kit if you can find it.

Beautiful work on all that trim.  That had to be pretty time consuming, but absolutely worth it.  Excellent colors too.  She's a beauty!  Over the course of this year I've pulled mine out from the stash and looked at it a couple times, only to put it back.  Seeing your gorgeous build gives me a little extra inspiration to start mine.

Your Impala looks superb, colour choice is classy. Hope it's not too long before Revell re-pop this kit, then I can get my grubby mitts on one.

Thanks guys for all the “at-a-boy’s”! Such nice folks on this board!

I wanted to post a few shots of the interior during assembly, not to toot my horn but to show how nicely tooled this Revell interior is right out of the box. The separately molded door and window crank hardware and chrome pieces on the dash and back seat makes this kit so easy to detail.
