Hello everyone. Almost everyone has built this kit at some point in their modelling life but I never had this one back in the day. So I built the reissue. I love the extra parts and alternate versions that AMT came up with back then. I wouldn't really call this a race car but more like a competition themed show car.

OOB except tires, safety harness and Moon tank. I cut the wrap around portions of the rear bumpers off so they would look like push bars and raised the front end but tried not to overdo it. The paint is Tamiya Orange metallic with two coats of Tamiya clear over the decals.

These old kits are what they are but I think the finished product looks pretty cool. Thanks for looking.

Looks nice! What a great color for that 'vette body; it really accentuates all the body sculpting. Not over the top at all. Well done.

Like it a lot!  Not sure that I have ever seen a Vette in this shade of orange before but it really suits it, especially with the decals you used.

Cheers

I like how the great paint job catches the sun in the pictures. You're right about this kit having many different build options and I like the style that you did here.

Now that's eye-catching! Very nicely sorted.

I'd love to get my hands on another AMT '63 vette at some point. I've always loved the design.
