Peter Lombardo Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 Really nice detail, the wheels and tires really make it work so well. Well done.
bisc63 Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 Has a real serious, purpose-built look about it. The guy that drives that has a hidden agenda. Nice job!
TransAmMike Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 Very nice job Ludwig!! I recently finished one and really enjoyed the build. it's a nice kit. ?
Bills72sj Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 Those black steelies, and 4-speed, really style it as street bruiser.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 Checking out the good looking aluminum intake manifold. Wondering what paint and paint color you used for the body.
YBlock292 Posted April 4, 2022 Author Posted April 4, 2022 Thank You, guys! Body color is Tamiya "Royal light grey", clear coated with Tamiya TS 13. Since the 62 Pontiac SD 421 was built for people with performance in mind, I gave the model a very "plain" look, painting it light grey, with black steel wheels as a contrast. Regards Ludwig
espo Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Beautiful looking paint. I like how you combined a modern color with the traditional looking Pontiac. The interior and engine detailing looks factory.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Thanks for the paint and color info. By the way, Model Car Garage has a photo etch set for it. I was so excited to get it because after all these decades, it includes the correct 421 fender emblems. Was disappointed to find that they only reproduced the passenger side. You get 2 passenger side. The actual emblems are side specific. I contacted them year ago and they didn't offer a correction. When I build my 62 Super 421 Super Duty I'll put the one correct one on and just deal with it Hope this info is helpful
happy grumpy Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Nice and clean build. Like the color and engine bay details.
Zippi Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Pretty sharp looking with the blacked out wheels Ludwig. Nice clean looking build.
Mike C. Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Beautiful work! Always liked those clear steering wheels.
papajohn97 Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 Sweet! Love the understated colors and overall sleeper look of this Poncho. So are the tires/ model from the AMT “Polyglass Gasser II” kit? If so, I gotta keep a look for that one, can never build too many sixties Pontiac’s!
