Got the embossing powder down on the floors this afternoon, but I wasn't really satisfied with the coverage or color uniformity. I don't have any turquoise embossing powder, so I mixed some blue and green, but strangely, it appeared that the 2 powders were different weights, and they seemed to want to separate on me, affecting the color uniformity. Plus, I made the mistake of using a darker colored powder over a lighter substrate, so coverage wasn't great either. Luckily, it's an easy fix. A little flat enamel mixed up and sprayed on fixes the issues very well. Nice and even in all aspects now. Steve So wait.......You applied embossing powder and then shot enamel green over it to get this look? Dumb it down to the lowest level for me because I'm going to try this. I've used flocking material in the past and don't like it because once the model is turned upside down at all, that stuff goes like......everywhere. It's for that reason that I stopped using flocking material all together and have been searching for a better method of modeling carpet. I think I may have just found it here. Looking forward to your reply Steven.

Looking forward to your reply Steven. First, I have to apologize Joe, for not responding to your question until now. The wife and I were on a short trip over the weekend, and I didn’t take the time to really check what was going on on the board. But in short, the answer is yes, you can apply embossing powder, (I apply it using slightly thinned white glue) and when completely dry, paint over it. Not a difficult operation in the least. Steve 1

Steve I'm gonna be using this. Thanks for the information on that Steve. PM sent bro.
StevenGuthmiller Posted July 27, 2023 Author Posted July 27, 2023 Added the floor mats, dimmer switch and gas pedal to the floor pan, and the E-brake and brake and clutch pedals to the dash. Steve 6
Bills72sj Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 That dash just blows me away. I have been procrastinating the 4 dashes on my WIP because I desire your results but am not capable to accomplish such.?
bobthehobbyguy Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Beautiful work. That dash is amazing as are the floor mats. Goes to show what a true craftsman can do with an older kit.

bobthehobbyguy Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 I'm disappointed I expected the clock to work.
customline Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 I wonder if anyone has hidden a Bluetooth ear bud in the trunk so the "radio" would play. Steven? This would be cool at a show, huh?
espo Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Wasn't the Vibrasonic and option for the radio at that time?
